Biografía

A champion of actors from diverse backgrounds, she has received Canadian Actors' Equity's Larry McCance Award for her tireless service to its membership and the theatre community.

Her aunt, the late Yuki Yoshida was an Oscar Winner for producing I'll Find a Way, part of the Children of Canada series, for the National Film Board of Canada's Studio D, the women's studio, responsible for winning more Oscars for Canada than any other producing studio.

Brenda started acting in a high school in Antigone. She performed at McMaster University with Martin Short, Eugene Levy and Dave Thomas in the original Frankenstein, a Rock Musical.

Brenda produces theatre with award-winning playwright, director and actor Andrew Moodie with their company Renaissance Theatre, dedicated to finding scripts that deserve a second chance at life in the Canadian Theatre Scene.
