In a landscape overflowing with web series, "Revenge Heist" doesn't bring anything particularly new to the table, but it manages to stay afloat in the sea of mediocrity. While it might not be a masterpiece, it's watchable, making it a passable choice for those looking for some typical Bollywood-style drama.
The story revolves around a corrupt politician who has wreaked havoc in the lives of five to six individuals, and they decide to unite and exact revenge by robbing his colossal 800 crore fortune. The heist itself is disappointingly ordinary, lacking those exciting, out-of-the-box moments that we've come to expect from top-notch thrillers. Instead, it relies heavily on tried-and-tested formulas, offering a dose of predictable drama.
One of the saving graces of "Revenge Heist" is the brilliant performance by Jimmy Shergill. His portrayal of the quintessential Hindi heartland mafia and politician is both convincing and captivating. Panditji and Choona Maharaj also shine with their strong acting chops, adding depth to their respective characters. Bela delivers a commendable performance, and Vishnu's natural acting is a refreshing change. However, the rest of the cast tends to go overboard with their performances, resulting in excessive noise and overacting that can be distracting.
Ultimately, "Revenge Heist" falls into the category of an average OTT series. It might not offer groundbreaking storytelling or mind-bending plot twists, but it does manage to keep you engaged, thanks in large part to Jimmy Shergill's stellar performance. If you're a fan of Hindi heartland dramas and don't mind a somewhat formulaic plot, you'll find "Revenge Heist" to be an okayish choice for a weekend binge-watch.

Jimmy shergill at its best , loved his performance in Your honor series and after that this series is going to be highlight of his power pack acting skills. Apart from him , the cast is spot on , all the actors justify their roles and the dynamics on screen are well blended with one other.
In a Nutshell, it's a political drama which is quite in this days on the webseries platform and its an interesting take towards it with new elements added such as quite heavy use of VFx alongwith the real characters.
It's such a binge that will glue you on to your seats until it ends . So enjoy and can't wait for season 2 !!!!

A light hearted comedy full of suspense and drama. Seems comedy was a bit overdo but my suggestion: don't apply too much brain and just enjoy it. Fantastic for a dinner time entertainment series with spectacular performances from some of the stage actors. Worth a watch for sure.
Jimmy Shergill - awesome as ever The plot thickens after 2 episodes so u need to continue watching. But the only part missing is the story didn't end with all characters it started with such as mintu. The dialogues are subtle but have a fantastic comedy twist to them. If u liked gulab and guns u shud like this too. But don't have a very high story expectation.

Absolutely, your dissatisfaction resonates. The initial episode held promise, but sadly, the show spiraled into a quagmire of clichés and oversimplified narratives. The communal angle, especially, is disappointingly one-dimensional. It portrays the peaceful community as constant victims, amplifying the "love jihad" concept - a narrative that is not only outdated but also divisive.
It's almost like the series is tailored to appease a particular segment rather than presenting a balanced, nuanced story. It's 2023, and yet, we are served reheated leftovers of communal narratives that do nothing to foster unity or reflect the complex, multifaceted reality of our society.
The real sting lies in the predictability and the lack of depth - each episode is a step further away from the engaging, intricate plotlines we crave, and a step closer to a monotonous echo of the same old song. Even Jimmy's commendable acting couldn't salvage a story that was set up to be mundane.

Anwar Says: A Netflix release, goon turned politician story but with a difference. The main character is delusional as well as follows star, planets and Vaastu. In process, he keeps on creating enemies who plan to carry out a heist in the fortress of Jimmy Shergil aka Calculator Shukla. Pushpendra Nath Mishra has been able to create both humour and intrigue.
Jimmy has been always an underrated actor and worked mostly in B class film. His effortless projection of the character is the key factor, though background narrator Arshad Warsi explained his character more than what he uttered himself. Aashim Gulati is a favourite of Mishraji after Taj and he also did justice to his role and so Namit Das, Chandan Sanyal and Vikram. Use of VR technology is successfully hemmed with the storyline.
Audience would be engaged in most of the time except in some middle episodes. Arshad narrative could have been less , still it is a fun watch. 6 out of 10 from me.
