The Hollywood premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps was a real family affair... and not just for the cast members playing Marvel Comics' First Family in the new Marvel Studios blockbuster.

While the current super-quartet of of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bacharach were present and accounted for, an earlier version of the Ff also walked the blue carpet. Thanks to First Steps director Matt Shakman, the lead performers from legendary producer Roger Corman's ill-fated 1994 adaptation were on the guest list.

That famously never-released movie starred Alex Hyde-White and Rebecca Staab as team leaders Reed and Sue Richards aka Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman (now played by Pascal and Kirby), Jay Underwood as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch (now played by Quinn), and Michael Bailey-Smith as Ben Grimm aka The Thing (now played by Moss-Bacharach). All those actors also make cameos in First Steps.

Lindsay Lohan’s 2003 interview with Anthony Anderson has to be, by far, one of the most concerning child celebrity interviews to date.

Back when the interview was held, not only was Lohan just a child actress rising to fame and navigating through the complexity of stardom, but she was even underage, only 17 years old, to be dealing with the s-xually charged comments, questions, and suggestive language that was sent her way by interviewer Anderson – even if he made them as a joke.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives in theaters next weekend, and according to Deadline, the next Marvel Studios movie is currently eyeing a $100 million - $110 million start.

As the trade puts it, "I kept hearing 'Oh, Disney is nervous,' but the stats look good: With $13M presales as of Monday, Fantastic Four is pacing ahead of the presales for Thunderbolts ($74.3M) and Captain America: Brave New World ($88.8M 3-day) and 20% behind Superman ($125M)."

So, yes, for those of you who care about that kind of thing, it does appear that Superman's domestic opening will be bigger than The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Marvel Studios has a week to give the movie a final push, and the MCU is likely to perform better than Superman overseas, so we'll see what happens.

A Fantastic Four: First Steps promotional tie-in with People offered Marvel's first reference to the team's ultimate villain, Doctor Doom, as oblique as it may be. Up till this point, the Red Brand has been mum about the nature and existence of Doom, even though audiences know his path to the big screen is clear.

The nefarious name-drop came in the form of text from an in-universe advertisement, meant to persuade readers into purchasing their own Herbie robot, just like the one that aids the Fantastic Four (Ff) at the Baxter Building.

Garant co-created Comedy Central’s Reno 911!, in which Shim also starred. A new promo for The Fantastic Four: First Steps puts the spotlight on H.E.R.B.I.E., the most adorable member of Marvel's First Family and a guaranteed merchandise seller for Disney.

We get to hear one of Mister Fantastic's most iconic creations "speak" in a video meant to advertise the robot's capabilities (it's been reported that other versions of H.E.R.B.I.E. are available for people to buy in this reality). There are also some exciting new snippets of footage from the movie.

Those include the robot attempting to protect young Franklin Richards when Galactus arrives on Earth and a heavily pregnant Sue Storm. Like his comic book counterpart, it seems H.E.R.B.I.E. will serve as Franklin's babysitter.

Nicky Katt, the actor known for his roles in the indie film classic Dazed and Confused and on the ABC series Boston Public, has died. He was 54.

Katt’s attorney, John Sloss, confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter but did not divulge any details.

Born in South Dakota on May 11, 1970, Katt began as a child actor, appearing on episodes of such TV shows as CHiPs, Father Murphy, Code Red, Herbie, the Love Bug, Voyagers! and Quincy, M.E.

He landed one of his most notable roles in Dazed and Confused (1993), where he played Clint Bruno. The coming-of-age film follows a group of rowdy teenagers in Austin celebrating the last day of high school in 1976. Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Parker Posey and Joey Lauren Adams starred in the film as well.
