Armageddon: The Final Challenge

This movie, the only word that comes to mind is.....Why??....Why was this made, Why did I rent this, why why why.The opening commercial was really all you need to see to lose any sense of credibility this movie could have had, I also loved the modified A-wing and Y-wing from Star Wars on the box beyond that there were no ships in the movie. A couple of friends and I rent crap movies all the time we've kind of made a hobby of it(boredom can be a killer), and this is the worse bar none the most awful movie ever created. If you look at the back of the box you will find that the "star" of this "movie" Todd Jensen's name is misspelled Tood Jensen. Well it was only a $1 rental.

why is this director credited with only one film? i bought a DVD box set with 6 of his films, and Armageddon THE FINAL CHALLENGE, which according to the DVD was released 3 times as 3 different movies. the first one sucks, the second Armageddon FORCE looked about the same except they had re-edited all of the films faults. the third version of the film was re-titled Armageddon THRONE which by the explanation of the director on the DVD was his revisiting of the film. the movie was originally made on a small budget and was rushed for an AFM market. now that the company owned the full rights to the film again, they re-cut it and threw some expensive special effects at it again. the new version is still nevertheless a less costly version of Bladerunner, though it has some very innovative and original moments. on the same DVD pack Garcia has a innovative comedy called CHICK FLICK, i loved THAT, but why's it not on your database?

this is one of the worst movies i've seen, but also one of the funniest. a friend of mine rented it from a local blockbuster, it was one of the 99¢ for 5 night movies, so i wasn't expecting much. it begins with a phony commercial for "foxguard" hovercraft security systems, where most of the "flying" sequence looks like it's been taken out of an old 16-bit video game. the special effects in this movie are quite hilarious, especially the astroid (strings visible) that appears to have lego pieces on it, posing as satellites, it gets worse mind you. the acting is quite terrible and the loud annoying music plays almost throughout the whole film. if one were to view this movie, they would understand why i stated this as one of the funniest i've seen, although it could be classified as a sci-fi drama, i say it's a comedy.
