By the years I have seen some incredible shows canceled and others don't even start airing. Examples of that are Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and the Farm which was a projected spin of of the very successful: The Office. A lot of other shows come to mind. Those shows that were canceled had great rating numbers and still were canceled. So that is why my question comes: Why is the View still on TV? It's ratings are extremely low and their content is the probably the worst of any talk show ever. Instead of promoting intelligent discussions and thinking the hostesses screaming all over the place gives women a bad reputation.
I'm sorry, but Whoopi went totally overboard for the simple fact that she can't accept a little bit of constructive criticism. But as usual, one of the women on the Morning Estrogen Overload Show reads or hears something and takes it completely the wrong way.
How can she call someone an "anonymous bitch" right after she mentioned the woman's name? They have to realize, of course, that Hollywood and the fashion world are chock full of very harsh critics. I'm sorry, but look at Whoopi's wardrobe choices compared to all the others on the show. Maybe if she would stop living in the over-sized man shirts and made a little attempt to actually look like a woman, they wouldn't have been so harsh.
Then, she goes on to say how people don't judge her by what she wears, but rather by what she says. Well, how does she think she made herself look with that immature, unnecessary, obsenity-laced tirade she went into? Gimme me a break. Whoopi just made herself look like an ass.

They definitely express a "view". This show has become a political reality show staring Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar as the lead Political Analysts (haha). I really have no idea how this show is still on TV. They keep getting rid of any host who has a differing opinion. It's sad.
My mom is a big fan of this show. Every time its on she has to watch it. Every once in a while I catch a glimpse of it and it disgusts me every time I catch it. 4 women all sit around and talk about the stupid and most pointless things I've ever heard. They don't cover (well, at least not anymore) the smart or important issues. All they discuss about are stupid jokes and sexual innuendo that makes you want to shoot the T.V. Not to mention every time it is on, it seems like one of the women always has to mention something about the male part (you know). You don't have to go to prison to suffer. Hell, just watch this show. I ran out of things to say so I'm going to name names for this show. Not important; mindless; pointless; annoying; stupid;
Why is this show still on the air? The cohorts hate each other and everyone else. There is absolutely nothing constructive about this screaming match. It's ridiculous.
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesIn September of 2009 Whoopi Goldberg who was the new moderator of the View at that point, made the infamous statement that Roman Polanski was not guilty of rape: " Whoopi Goldberg suggested that whatever he was guilty of it wasn't "rape-rape".As a guest on The View chat show on US television, she said: "I know it wasn't rape-rape. It was something else but I don't believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and and when they let him out he was like, 'You know what, this guy's going to give me a hundred years in jail. I'm not staying.' So that's why he left."' This outraged many people because Polanski was charged with plying a 13 year old girl with drugs and alcohol and then sodomizing her. And infact he was charged with rape: "In March 1977, film director Roman Polanski was arrested and charged in Los Angeles with five offenses against Samantha Geimer, a 13-year-old girl, rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious acts...." Goldberg's statement that it was not "rape-rape" was both inaccurate, (it was rape-rape as she put it); but it also seemed to soft-pedal or excuse Polanski's crime to a certain degree.
