Something very strange happened on December 6th, 2024. This was originally going to be the release date for the Lucy Hale lead F Marry Kill, but at the last minute, Lionsgate delayed the film. Only one problem: no one told the digital retailers. So on that early December day, the film was digitally released to the masses. They were able to rectify the mistake and promptly pulled it from those retailers, but the internet is forever, and copies got out there. Not exactly the most ideal way to market your movie, but any press is good press. And in a crowded December, this certainly has more room to breathe now in March. I was fortunate enough to talk with the cast and director of F Marry Kill. I chatted with Lucy Hale about what she thought about this accidental release, and...

Lucy Hale rose to fame with her role in the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, but she nearly found big success earlier than that as the star of a hit Disney series. While she didn't land that role, the experience was still amazing enough that it solidified Hale's desire to pursue an acting career.

Per People, Hale appeared on Buzzfeed's "The Puppy Interview" when she commented on some of the roles she didn't get over the course of her career, going all the way up to the recent hit film The Substance. She mentioned Hannah Montana as well, going on to clarify that she auditioned for the titular role, which ultimately went to Miley Cyrus. It's unclear how much Hale was considered for the role after she submitted her audition, though she noted that it was very early in the process, "years" before Cyrus was cast.

This upcoming month, we will finally see the release of the extremely controversial Disney film Snow White and the movie I am looking for is Bong Joon-ho‘s Mickey 17. Just in time for Halloween, a trailer for the BuzzFeed Studios-produced comedy thriller F Marry Kill made its way online (you can watch it in the embed above), and at that time the film was set to receive a digital, VOD, and limited theatrical release on December 6th. Since then, the release was pushed back to sometime in March in an effort to align the domestic release with its international roll-out… but some of the PVOD platforms didn’t get the message. As Deadline reports, F Marry Kill reached some digital stores and PVOD on December 6th, then disappeared a few hours later. So if you managed to catch the movie during that brief window last Friday – congratulations, you got a special sneak peek! If you didn’t catch it, there’s still three months left to wait for it.

Exclusive: Lionsgate’s Lucy Hale comedy-mystery F*** Marry Kill hit digital store shelves and PVOD this past Friday, December 6 — then disappeared a few hours later. We heard all the noise from genre fans.

What went on here? Is Lionsgate’s AI to blame? No, not at all.

Apparently, the R-rated Laura Murphy-directed title originally was scheduled for a December 6 drop, and fans were expecting it. But the release date changed a few weeks ago, and that message clearly didn’t get through to the PVOD platforms, hence the glitch.

Lionsgate isn’t burying or short-changing the movie, which is coming out via its theatrical day-and-date release label Lionsgate Premiere Releasing. The release-date change is an effort to align the movie with its international roll\out in March. We’re told that a recent screening, the filmmaker announced to attendees that they could expect to see F*** Marry Kill in March.

Online dating is a hellscape. That's about the only thing F Marry Kill gets right. The BuzzFeed Studios-produced comedy thriller F Marry Kill is set to receive a digital, VOD, and limited theatrical release on December 6th – and just in time for Halloween, a trailer for the film has dropped online and can be seen in the embed above. Lucy Hale is set to star in F*** Mary Kill, an action-comedy and the latest feature from Lionsgate and BuzzFeed Studios.

Directed by Laura Murphy and written by Ivan Diaz and Meghan Brown, the film follows a true-crime junkie in Boulder, Colo. who must determine which of the three guys she’s dating is her f*ckboy, which is marriage material, and which is the Swipe Right Killer who has been terrorizing the city and wants to murder her.

Alongside Hale, the film, which wrapped pre-strike, also stars Virginia Gardner, Jedidiah Goodacre, Brendan Moran, Samer Salem, Brooke Nevin, and Bethany Brown.

The streamer will release a new episode of the murder mystery comedy on Dec. 15, with Will Arnett returning in the role of Detective Terry Seattle. Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph will be the celebrity guest stars in the special, with Bateman having starred in “Arrested Development” with Arnett while Rudolph starred with Arnett in the NBC series “Up All Night.” Bateman and Arnett also work with Sean Hayes on the podcast “SmartLess.”

Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens is returning to Comedy Central in August, and the second season will feature the TV directorial debut of star Bd Wong.

Wong, who plays Awkwafina’s dad in the comedy series, will direct alongside Andrew McCarthy, Bill Benz, Laura Murphy, Jordan Kim and Steven Tsuchida.

The second season will return with a two-episode event starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 18. Watch a teaser below.

Awkwafina’s family comedy “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens” will return to Comedy Central for its second season on August 18, with two episodes airing back to back at 10 p.m.

Inspired by Awkwafina’s own childhood in Queens, the show completed its first season in March of last year on a ratings upswing. Awkwafina plays Nora Lin, alongside co-stars Bd Wong as Nora’s dad, Lori Tan Chinn as her grandmother and Bowen Yang as her cousin.

Awkwafina, who co-created the show with Teresa Hsiao, also starred in “The Farewell” (for which she won a Golden Globe) and “Crazy Rich Asians,” and will be next seen on film in Marvel’s forthcoming “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”

Season 1 of “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens” streams on HBO Max as part of a deal Comedy Central Productions made with WarnerMedia last summer, and Season 2 will premiere there after its Comedy Central run ends.

Ed Helms ("The Hangover") stars as a downtrodden farmer struggling to hold onto his family and his farm, when a bizarre twist of fate becomes a life-changing secret that will either save them or ruin them.

Hilary Swank is in final negotiations to play his wife, Laura Murphy. Ed Harris will guest star as the family patriarch, Nathaniel Cobb.

Girl Code, a spin-off of MTV2′s Guy Code has been picked up for a second season by MTV. The series features female comics giving viewers tips about womanhood, covering everything from frenemies, girl fights and cutting bathroom lines, to dancing drinking and dating. Two new episodes are set to air Tuesday at 9:30 Pm and 10:30 Pm. Girl Code ranks as the No. 1 original cable series in its time slot with P12-34, and is the No. 1 program across all TV in its time slot with W12-34. Additionally, it’s currently the most social MTV reality series on air, and ranks in the Top 10 for all TV shows each week. Girl Code, an original production by Viacom Media Networks, was developed by Ryan Ling who also serves as executive producer. Darin Byrne and Paul Ricci executive produce for MTV.
