- Crescendo (2023), which Emmy won Best Director for, was the first University of Notre Dame student film to shoot scenes underwater and also the first to use surround sound. It was featured in the Academy Award qualifying Indy Shorts international film festival.
- Emmy's college senior thesis proposal thesis was on how the "devil" in the film "The Devil Wears Prada" is in fact not the devil since she used fashion to transform society for the better. Her proposal was rejected. She then wrote Crescendo which went on to win multiple awards including Best Director and official selections.
- Emmy was her high school's senior prom queen.
