The realm of The Traitors is expanding — in both who gets to play the game and where the show runs.
NBC has picked up a version of the game that will feature civilian players, rather than the reality TV veterans and other celebrities who have populated Peacock’s iteration of The Traitors. Alan Cumming, who hosts the Peacock show, will also lead the NBC version.
Production on the network’s version is set to begin next year; the show is taking applications for potential contestants now. There’s no word yet on an airdate.
Peacock will continue streaming its iteration of The Traitors for at least two more seasons. The show has been renewed through its fifth installment, and season four has announced its cast.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift recently announced that her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released on Oct. 3. Since then, fans have been combing the track list for clues as to what each song will be about. Swift, who’s keeping mum on the finer details, also confirmed that singer Sabrina Carpenter (who toured with Swift on a leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour) will feature on the title track, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
So what is a showgirl in the eyes of T. Swift? Traditionally, the term refers to a chorus girl at a performance venue or nightclub, à la 2024’s The Last Showgirl starring Pamela Anderson — which reclaimed the word after the 1995 film Showgirls (in which Elizabeth Berkley starred as an aspiring showgirl turned stripper) gave it a more divisive edge. Few details about the Yellowstone Beth and Rip spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have been confirmed. What we do know is that it’s in production, and that Reilly, Hauser, and Finn Little are set to reprise their roles as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler, and Carter in the spinoff. A Texas news outlet reported that a Yellowstone spinoff called Rio Palo was filming in Ferris, Texas. If Rio Palo sounds unfamiliar, it should. No show with that name has been announced for the Yellowstone TV universe. An MTV rep recently clarified that the so-called Rio Palo that’s filming in Ferris is not a show by that name, but rather the still-untitled Beth and Rip spinoff. The last fans saw Beth and Rip, they were living in Montana on a new ranch with Carter. That ranch was said to be about 40 miles outside of Dillon, which is just...

The Biggest Loser finally left the spotlight in 2020, but not after the one-time ratings hit transformed many contestants’ lives in ways NBC wouldn’t want you to know. The competition — which ran for 17 seasons on NBC from 2004 to 2016 and one on USA Network in 2020 — had contestants vying to lose the highest percentage of their body weight for a grand prize. That premise alone puts the show into body-negative, fat-phobic territory, but The Biggest Loser got even more problematic from there, considering contestants claimed they were harming themselves in their race to a smaller body. “The Biggest Loser doesn’t save lives. It ruins lives,” Season 2 competitor Suzanne Mendonca told the New York Post in 2016. “Mentally, emotionally, financially — you come back a different person. Half the people from my season have gotten divorced. The ripple effect isn’t just weeks or months. It’s years.” Now Netflix is delving into the...

Alien: Earth is finally here, and despite the title, the xenomorph aliens are just one of many beings featured in the FX series streaming on Hulu. In this instance, if you aren’t versed in Alien franchise lore, then you’ll have no difficulty in navigating the Alien: Earth terrain. When it comes to the series, there’s a distinction between the humanoid beings occupying a world overrun by five corporations, two of which are Weyland-Yutani and Prodigy. So what’s the difference between a cyborg, a synthetic, and a hybrid? The differences are minimal but enough to take into consideration while tuning into this exciting new series. While...

Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo were shooting a scene in a jail cell when we visited the Budapest set of their NCIS spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, last fall. In 10 action-packed episodes, the actors are reprising the roles of their beloved agents, Tony Dinozzo and former Mossad operative Ziva David. Their lives are radically different as the series begins, but during that moment in the pen, it’s classic “Tiva.” As she tends to his head wound, he playfully confesses that he might consider therapy. She looks at him with her usual exasperated affection and says, “All it took was a little thing like having our lives completely shattered.” Behind bars is just one of the dangerous places they find themselves in NCIS: Tony & Ziva, a long-in-the-making series that features two twisty mysteries. One centers on the crime case that has the couple making a pit stop in...

Judging by this year’s comedy series Emmy nominees, Hollywood does have a sense of humor about itself.
This year, both the category’s incumbent, HBO Max’s “Hacks,” as well as buzzy new contender, Apple TV+’s “The Studio,” found humor in even the most soul-crushing parts of the industry. Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” switched locales from New York to Los Angeles for part of its season as its three investigators saw their work get a screen adaptation as they tried to solve the murder of a veteran stunt performer. The Pitt‘s first season was a hit not only with critics but also with fans. In the pods across the pond,Love Is Blind: UKSeason 1welcomed a group of singles seeking to answer the same question asked by many hopeless romantics before them: Is love truly blind?
If this season’s pod squad is any indication, then the answer is a resounding yes, as love is alive and well in the United Kingdom. Six couples — Sabrina and Steven, Maria and Tom, Jasmine and Bobby, Demi and Ollie, Catherine and Freddie, and Nicole and Benaiah — took the plunge and got engaged. And while not every pair said “I do” on the big day (or even stayed together after getting married), they’ve all been affected by the life-changing journey that brought them to the altar.
Now it’s time to catch up on everything that’s gone down after the reunion, which brought the pod squad back together for the first time. Who’s still together?...

A new pod squad has entered Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 wearing their hearts — and, for one particular dater, his spleen — on their sleeves.
Over the first four episodes, 30 men and women flirted, shed tears, built intimacy, and, in a few cases, even fell in love, all through the glowing purple wall. So far, there have been two different love triangles, a croon-inspiring tattoo, and a Japanese good luck charm that turned out to be a very bad omen for one pod pairing. We’ve watched five duos get engaged sight unseen, and one go their separate ways thanks to splenic intervention. Now, the committed couples will attempt to build a physical connection that matches their emotional one ahead of their weddings in just a few weeks.
