The first photos from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, have swung online, and they reveal when the movie takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's timeline.
As you can see below, signage has been put up indicating that construction is taking place on a building in New York that's set to be completed in "December 2027." The events of Captain America: Brave New World played out across 2026 and 2027, with Thunderbolts* then set in 2027.
The latter movie's post-credits scene jumped into the events of Avengers: Doomsday with a "14 Months Later" title card, placing the movie in 2028/2029. With that in mind, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is almost set before the next Avengers movie, not between Doomsday and Secret Wars as some have previously speculated.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day being a street-level adventure rather than another Multiversal blockbuster was recently confirmed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

After playing Storm in the X-Men prequel movies, Alexandra Shipp looks back at her time playing the Marvel heroine. As The Multiverse Saga gets closer to its end, Marvel Studios is already working on one of its most anticipated films after Phase 6, which will be their X-Men reboot.
While Jake Schreier is directing the X-Men movie, it's unknown at this point what characters will be featured in the reimagining of the mutants. One of the most popular characters in the X-Men canon that fans are waiting to see in the MCU is Storm, who was previously played by Shipp and Halle Barry during Fox's Marvel films.
During a recent interview with Collider, Shipp, who starred in X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, opened up about being compared to Berry's version of Storm. At the same time, Shipp also shared her personal advice for whoever will play the heroine in the MCU,...

Following its exciting unveiling at Annecy International Animation Festival last month, Marvel Animation's Eyes of Wakanda will be available for fans to enjoy on Disney+ earlier than anticipated.
As we first reported last week, the all-new series, consisting of four episodes, will debut on August 1. Joining the official announcement are a jaw-dropping new trailer and set of character posters, one of which introduces us to the McU's first Iron Fist.
Finn Jones played Danny Rand in Netflix's Iron Fist TV series, but this marks the first time we've seen a protector of K'un-Lun on the "Sacred Timeline," a.k.a. Earth 616.
The new action-adventure series, produced in partnership with Proximity Media's Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Kalia King, follows the adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artefacts from the enemies of Wakanda.

It's been a long time coming, but Marvel Studios has finally added Reed Richards and the gang to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the release of "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," Kevin Feige and Co. have not only finally brought Marvel's first family back to the silver screen, but they've also secured a much-needed hit in the process.
Directed by Matt Shakman, of "WandaVision" fame, "First Steps" had by far the biggest opening weekend ever for the "Fantastic Four" franchise. It debuted to an estimated $118 million domestically to go with $100 million overseas for a $218 million global debut. It's very much the win that Marvel and Disney needed after the relative misfires that were "Captain America: Brave New World" ($415 million worldwide) and "Thunderbolts*" ($382 million worldwide). This is, if you'll pardon the pun, a heroic opening weekend much more in line with what we used to expect from the MCU.

Marvel’s new version of Fantastic Four is already a massive win at the box office. The movie, officially titled Fantastic Four: First Steps, made $118 million in its first weekend across over 4,000 theaters in North America. That’s according to Sunday estimates from the studio.
It didn’t just do well domestically. Overseas, it pulled in another $100 million across 52 different markets. Altogether, that’s a huge $218 million global debut, well ahead of the last attempt at a Fantastic Four movie.
For context, the 2015 version of Fantastic Four made only $167.9 million during its entire time in theaters. That includes both U.S. and international ticket sales. The new movie beat that in just three days.
Even before opening weekend, expectations were high. As of July 22, the movie was projected to bring in between $100 and $110 million domestically, with another $90 to $110 million internationally.
The movie even had the biggest Thursday night preview numbers of 2025 so far,...

The Fantastic Four have finally hit it big at the box office. The newest version of Marvel’s first family, Fantastic Four: First Steps, made a huge splash in its opening weekend, bringing in $118 million in North America alone.
That’s according to estimates released by the studio on Sunday. It’s the fourth biggest debut of the year, right behind A Minecraft Movie, Lilo & Stitch, and Superman.
Worldwide, the numbers are even more impressive. The movie pulled in another $100 million from 52 international markets, giving it a $218 million global debut. That’s a strong start for the first Fantastic Four movie produced under Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige and Disney.
The success was expected, but the film still managed to beat some projections. Just days before its release, it was tracking to open with about $100–110 million in the U.S. and another $90–110 million overseas.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” achieved a truly heroic feat over the weekend, snapping an unprecedented cold streak for Marvel Studios.
The comic book adventure, starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn as the titular quartet, lifted off to $118 million domestically and $218 million globally — the year’s first Marvel movie to open above $100 million. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” appears to be the studio’s first successful attempt in post-pandemic times to launch a new superhero team following previous strikeouts such as this May’s “Thunderbolts*,” 2023’s “The Marvels” and 2021’s “Eternals.”
Marvel, which has been wildly inconsistent after spending a decade as Hollywood’s most reliable hitmaker, used to thrive on the unfamiliar. Iron Man, Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy weren’t A-list characters until producer Kevin Feige began to assemble a cinematic universe in the early aughts. But since the Covid, the studio...

San Diego — Comic-Con 2025 showed that fan fervor is still running high at the annual five-day convention in San Diego, even when Marvel and DC aren’t taking up all the oxygen in the room. As major studios skipped this year’s outing, the con’s premiere venue was still lively and engaged crowds that cheered for breakout panels from 20th Century Studios’ “Predator: Badlands,” Amazon MGM’s “Project Hail Mary” and Disney’s “Tron: Ares” – proving that there is still genre fare outside of superhero movies to get the con’s most sought-after room hyped.

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. bid farewell to the MCU and Tony Stark in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. However, he'll return to the franchise as the villainous Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
The casting has divided opinions and raised concerns that Victor Von Doom will be an Iron Man Variant. We'll have to wait and see on that, and rumours are already swirling about which reality the new Multiverse Saga's big bad hails from.
Today, scooper Daniel Richtman brings word that Marvel Studios is currently discussing having Downey continue playing Doom after Avengers: Secret Wars is released at the end of 2027.
We'd imagine the success of The Fantastic Four: First Steps has something to do with that, as it makes perfect sense for Marvel's First Family to share the screen with Doom after his quest to "save" the Multiverse fails. Whether Downey wishes to stick around remains to be seen,...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduced the space-faring cosmic entity Galactus, who devours planets to consume their life energy. Although the movie pits the titular team against Galactus as an antagonistic figure, the latter’s comic book history suggests that the giant entity is more complex than just a villain, as he is performing a crucial duty in the cosmic scheme of things.
Galactus is a cosmic constant who consumes planets whole so that he can use that energy not only to satiate his hunger but also to use it to birth a new universe when the time comes. In the process, he may even costume a celestial embryo inside a planet, making him a direct rival of the Celestials introduced to the MCU in Eternals. As a result, Galactus’ fate in The Fantastic Four may have quietly set up Eternals 2, and here’s why we think the sequel could explore Galactus vs.

Rebecca Romijn, returning as Mystique in next year’s Avengers: Doomsday, suggests that the script isn’t “finished”, despite filming being underway.

Even with The Fantastic Four landing strong numbers, Superman is still holding on to its title as the biggest comic book movie opener of 2025 in the U.S.
Superman opened with a huge $125 million domestically, keeping it ahead of Fantastic Four, which made $118 million during its debut. Despite early predictions that Marvel’s big reboot might push Superman out of the top spot, it wasn’t quite enough.
According to reports, Superman had a big lead right out of the gate. It pulled in $2.8 million during early Tuesday previews, and when combined with Thursday screenings, it reached $22.5 million before even hitting its first full day. That was the biggest preview total of 2025 until The Fantastic Four: First Steps came along a few days ago.

Superman opened with a huge $125 million domestically, keeping it ahead of Fantastic Four, which made $118 million during its debut. Despite early predictions that Marvel’s big reboot might push Superman out of the top spot, it wasn’t quite enough.

The Fantastic Four are comic book characters that make perfect sense on the pages of "the world's greatest comic magazine," as the Stan Lee slogan has said on Ff covers for decades. Cinematically, they're much trickier. That's because the history of superheroes on screen is distinct from their history in comics, and comic book movies established themselves early on as stories about singular heroes. When the first big comic book movie about a team of heroes occurred with 2000's "X-Men," a new dynamic was established, one which built upon "men on a mission" movies of the past (like "The Dirty Dozen") and eventually developed into films like "The Avengers." The Fantastic Four, as seen in the comics, were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby as a space-age answer to a then-popular trend of movies and shows that chronicled the adventures of tight-knit family units.

"Avengers: Doomsday" is set to release in theaters on December 18, 2026. The cast of "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," "Thunderbolts*" and several returning faces from the "X-Men" films are uniting with many of the Avengers to face down the newest threat to the Marvel multiverse, Doctor Doom. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's former big two stars Chris Evans (Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) are returning — only Rdj will not be playing Tony Stark, but Doom himself!
Beyond that, we don't know what the movie's story is or what comics it may pull from ... and it seems the filmmakers may not either!
One of the returning "X-Men" actors in "Doomsday" is Rebecca Romijn, who played Raven Darkholme/Mystique. Currently, Romijn is playing Enterprise Xo Una Chin-Riley on "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" and she attended San Diego Comic Con to promote the show with her castmates. Romijn has previously...

Mister Fantastic and his family are back on the big screen, only this time under the rule of Marvel Studios instead of 20 Century Fox.
In a needed for win for both Kevin Feige’s Marvel and the franchise, Matt Shakman‘s Fantastic Four: First Steps rocketed to a franchise-best global opening of $218 million, including $118 million domestically and $100 million overseas, not adjusted for inflation. That’s almost on par with the recent $220 global box office debut of DC’s Superman, who, alongside Spider-Man and Batman, is one of the most famous comic book heroes of all time.
Fantastic Four opened ahead of tracking domestically, although on Saturday morning, many thought it could open to $120 million to $25 million based on a huge opening day gross of $57 million. However, slower-than-expected traffic on Saturday changed the landscape. Numbers could always shift again by Monday.

Hollywood is in a major period of transition right now. The streaming era has completely upended just about every entertainment company's business model. Studios are trying to figure out how to have success at the box office while also prioritizing streaming services, which are undoubtedly the future. Netflix generated more revenue in 2024 than the global box office in its entirety. Marvel Studios, once a dominant force at the box office, isn't immune to the need for change, and a lot of that change is about finding ways to make movies cheaper. Interestingly, an underseen sci-fi movie from 2023 is helping them solve that equation.
During a recent press conference (via Deadline), Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige spoke about a wide range of topics as "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" arrives and looks to save the studio's rough year at the box office.

Harvey Dent once said, You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain, and boy, was he right.
According to a new Endgame theory, as impossible as it may seem, Doctor Strange may have pushed Iron Man to sacrifice himself, thinking he was doing it for the greater good, while in reality, it was not to save the Universe from Thanos but from Stark himself.
To keep the truth from the rest of the Avengers (and the fans), Strange never revealed his vision to those present and allowed Stark to keep his honor as a martyr instead of seeing him turn into a villain more dire than the Mad Titan.
In hindsight, we never did get to see Strange’s visions of those alternate possibilities… not even one. So what’s to say that he was telling the truth at all, or lying,...

In The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Latveria is referenced at least twice when we visit Earth-828's version of the United Nations. There's no mention of Doctor Doom, but the villain does appear in the movie's mid-credits scene.
During an interview with Phase Hero, filmmaker Matt Shakman confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. was the one wearing that green cloak for the sequence (which was shot on the set of Avengers: Doomsday by the Russo Brothers).
Now, The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez is claiming that Downey's Victor Von Doom hails from Earth-828, the same reality as Marvel's First Family. He also says that Marvel Studios has "cooked" with the villain's MCU costume.
It makes sense for Doom to be from the same reality as the Fantastic Four because it gives them a built-in history with the villain, and means the team can deliver some handy exposition when they meet the Avengers.

While Marvel Studios usually starts filming with a complete script, it's never considered the 'final' or 'final draft' of the script.
According to studio president Kevin Feige, their creative process involves constant tweaking and improvements, which he calls "plussing, "throughout filming.
That flexible, collaborative approach to filmmaking is part of what made the original Iron Man such a hit in 2008, and Marvel has continued to embrace that style, hoping to recreate lightning in a bottle.
Avengers: Doomsday looks to be no different as Mystique actress Rebecca Romijn has shared that she doesn't know if she's done filming as the script isn't finished being "plussed."
“[I’m] not quite sure,” she said when asked if she was done shooting her scenes. “The script hasn’t — they haven’t finished writing it. It’s been very, very fun, and we don’t know yet. They keep everything very close to the vest themselves in...

Rebecca Romijn told a Hall H interviewer at San Diego Comic‑Con that she is “not quite sure” her Mystique work on Avengers: Doomsday is finished because “the script hasn’t… they haven’t finished writing it,” confirming weeks of online speculation about on‑set rewrites. The admission lands three months after cameras began rolling under the working title Apple Pie 1 at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, questioned at a separate press event, said every film starts with a complete screenplay yet undergoes “plus‑ing” daily and praised cast input as production continues. Writing duties sit with Stephen McFeely and, as confirmed last week, Loki creator Michael Waldron, who was asked to polish pages while shooting progresses.

The trailer for the second season of “Peacemaker” has arrived. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, the John Cena-starring DC Comics comes just two weeks after the release of “Superman,” the kinda official-ish soft-ish reboot of the DC Universe courtesy of now-steward James Gunn. The new season, it was revealed during the Comic-Con panel, will take place a month after the events of “Superman.” “Peacemaker” will arrive on HBO Max on August 21 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.
In a May interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn said that getting back around to “Peacemaker” — which premiered its first season long ago in 2022 — was top-of-mind when he took the DC Universe gig. “Once I was done with ‘Peacemaker,’ I had to do ‘Guardians 3,’ and then when I was about ready to jump [back] into ‘Peacemaker,’ I got hired to be the head of DC,” he said. “As soon as I got that job,...

Since its premiere only a day ago, Pedro Pascal‘s The Fantastic Four: First Steps has shown great promise at the box office. Its opening day earnings, which tipped off at $57 million, are a few short inches ahead of Superman‘s $56.1 million (numbers reported by Deadline). But those numbers alone can neither safeguard Marvel’s Phase 6 saga nor guarantee its future performance.
With the conservative crowds growing increasingly hostile toward the entertainment industry, their forensic interpretation of race, ethnicity, gender, and s*xual orientation in modern movies and television shows has been affecting the overall box office collection by tanking a film in reviews even before it gets a chance to prove itself to the audience.
In the case of Marvel’s latest Fantastic Four, however, the statistics say otherwise.

Marvel fans have been waiting a long time to see the X-Men fully return to the big screen. And now, it’s finally happening. In a recent interview with Marvel.com, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige opened up about what it means to bring the original X-Men back for Avengers: Doomsday, and why it’s such a personal moment for him.
Feige first worked on the X-Men movies back in the early 2000s, before the Marvel Cinematic Universe even existed. Now, more than two decades later, he’s leading the charge to bring those same characters into the world he helped build.
Talking about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, Feige shared his excitement about reuniting the X-Men with other heroes like the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.

The X-Men are officially back, and this time, they’re joining the Avengers and the Fantastic Four in Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently opened up about what it means to bring back the original X-Men for this massive Marvel crossover and why it’s such a full-circle moment for him.
Feige spoke with Marvel.com while promoting The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the latest MCU movie that finally introduces Marvel’s First Family. But during the conversation, the topic quickly shifted to the next big event film, Avengers: Doomsday, which will bring together characters from across the multiverse, including the X-Men.

Ever since the MCU opted for a course correction by bringing Robert Downey Jr. back into the franchise as the iconic supervillain Dr. Doom, fans have waited with bated breath to catch a first glimpse of the character. With The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the wait finally came to an end, as in the mid-credits scene of the movie, Dr. Doom makes his first appearance and makes his diabolical intentions very clear from the beginning by making Franklin Richards his target. Victor von Doom is notorious as the sworn archenemy of Reed Richards and his merry band of Fantastic Four, but his role in the MCU is much more significant than that. After all, the overarching villain of the multiverse saga is none other than the evil genius, the tyrannical ruler of Latveria—who will stop at nothing in order to assume power and control. Given the way Dr. Doom is introduced,...

And it’s already crossed the $100 million mark globally after earning $49.2 million in its first few days overseas for an early worldwide tally of $106.2 million through Friday.

Kevin Feige has just shared that the plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to pivot from the Multiverse Saga's big bad, Kang the Conqueror, started much earlier than previously believed.
It’s hard to remember, but as 2023 began, the plan for Phase Five of the MCU seemed set in stone. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would be the grand debut of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the long-standing time-traveling tyrant of Marvel Comics. A version of him had appeared in the Loki season 1 finale but it was Quantumania that was set to give the primary version of the character a chance to shine.
This would begin the road to the big pay-off to Phase Five, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars. While not confirmed, it’s hinted that this would involve Kang conquering the Multiverse and various heroes coming together to stop him.
Then things went off the rails.

[Editor’s note: This list was published in May 2023. It has since been updated with new Marvel films, including “Thunderbolts.”]
Love it or hate it, nobody who wants to participate in pop culture can ignore the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the internet and the streaming boom continue to divide the entertainment industry into smaller niche fragments, superhero tentpole movies are the closest thing we still have to a monoculture. That cultural dominance has allowed Marvel Studios to rope an increasingly large percentage of Hollywood’s A-list actors (and quite a few of its best directors) into its ever-expanding universe.
Years of billion dollar box office receipts and endless discourse about its stranglehold on the film industry make it easy to forget what a risky proposition the MCU was when it launched with “Iron Man” in 2008. Superhero movies without Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man were considered box office gambles at the time, and many entertainment industry observers doubted that audiences would continue to show up for so many interlocking films without getting fatigued.

After several years of false starts and too many rumored casting decisions to count, Marvel’s first family has finally made its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The film is set to have a promising opening weekend and has been met with overwhelming praise already from critics and fans alike.
However, for several years, it looked as though a very different iteration of the Fantastic Four was going to make it to the big screen.
One of the most critically acclaimed superhero films all of all time features the following: a quartet of related superheroes who have to work together to stop an impending threat, a retro-futuristic version of a metropolitan city, the family pondering whether or not a newly born baby will manifest any superpowers in the near future, a climax that’s all about the antagonist attempting to steal said baby,...

Marvel’s First Family is finally part of the MCU with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and they have a truly storied history. But that might make you worry that you have a lot of homework to do before seeing the film.
Now in theaters, the film directed by Matt Shakman takes the MCU to a retro-futuristic New York, where the Fantastic Four have become a beloved group of heroes. This time around, they’re played by Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm) and Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm).
Earth faces the threat of Galactus, the devourer of worlds. And we mean that literally; the space giant physically consumes entire planets to satiate an insatiable hunger. He’s a major villain in the comics, just as the Fantastic Four are some of Marvel’s most major heroes.
So, what other MCU projects do you need...

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025)
After numerous rumors about his appearance, Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom officially makes his MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In the mid-credits scene, taking place four years later, fans see Doom crouching in front of Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
The character holds his mask in his hand and dons his iconic green cape and hood. However, he faces away from the camera. Marvel has yet to confirm whether Downey Jr. actually made the appearance in the film. Nonetheless, the scene perfectly sets up Avengers: Doomsday.
Coming to Doomsday, Downey Jr. is super stoked about it, and he kind of expresses it on social media. On the morning of The Fantastic Four‘s worldwide release, Downey Jr. shared a post to Instagram where he was seen enjoying the newly released song, Change of Scenery.

The following contains spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, now playing in theaters.
The Fantastic Four have finally made their official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The superhero reboot, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, largely features characters who have already been seen on film before, like the title family itself, although there are a few surprising big-screen debuts, like that of Reed and Sue's son, Franklin Richards.
Cbr's Sean O'Connell recently took part in a roundtable discussion with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, where the studio head was asked about the decisions that led to Franklin Richards being included in the McU's first Fantastic Four movie. "Well, I think, as always, look at the comics. Look at the comics. There is great potential with Franklin. There's great potential in their other child [Valeria Richards]. Really, the reason to do it first is because it had never been done before,...

Marvel Studios' most recent film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has arrived in movie theaters all around the world. The 37th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's already looking like it's going to be one of this year's biggest movies, which isn't surprising when you consider the franchise, star-power, and the fact that Marvel's First Family are well-known in their own right.
The film brings the iconic quartet of superheroes back to the silver screen for their third big-budget kick-off, but this is the first time their adventures have taken place within the MCU. Clearly, they are all the better off for it, as the film has quickly become the best-reviewed Fantastic Four movie yet.
Director Matt Shakman accomplished something of beauty with this one. He also took some time to feature some important dedications during the end credits of the film - including a nod to comic book...

Not everyone would have seen the 2008 Marvel film that was hailed as one of the worst Marvel movies, The Incredible Hulk. If you do watch it, though, you’ll notice Robert Downey Jr. in a post-credit scene in the film (Posted by TK503/Reddit)!
Considering the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the post-credit scene seems to be very confusing for viewers because Tony Stark doesn’t meet Edward Norton’s Hulk at a bar. Instead, he meets the antagonist of the movie, who was chasing The Hulk for his powers, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, and asks him to release The Abomination!
Why Is Robert Downey Jr. in The Incredible Hulk?
During the post-credit scenes of The Incredible Hulk, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark goes up to William Hurt’s Thaddeus Ross in a bar and sits beside him. Tony Stark explains that he is putting together a team.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been released today, and the reviews (and spoilers) are in. From Robert Downey Jr.’s cameo as Doctor Doom to the booming voice of Galactus wreaking havoc, the film is a joy ride.
However, during the movie, there was a brief segment where the Future Foundation summit was in full swing, and the Latverian seat was vacant. Latveria is an Eastern European nation in Marvel Comics, under the rule of Doctor Doom.
Well, the vacant Latverian chair could signify two things, and neither of them is good for Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Why Was Latveria’s Chair Empty During the World Council?

Critics had their say on The Fantastic Four: First Steps earlier this week, and following an early international release and Thursday previews, fans and moviegoers are finally weighing in on the Marvel Studios reboot.
With over 2500 verified ratings on Rotten Tomatoes' Popcornmeter, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has an excellent 93% score. That's higher than Superman (92%), the same as Thunderbolts* (93%), and quite a bit above Captain America: Brave New World (76%).
The movie's Tomatometer score currently sits at 88% based on 235 reviews. While Thunderbolts* received a similar level of acclaim, it also failed to crack $400 million at the worldwide box office.
Fortunately, there appears to be far more interest in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Marvel Studios has successfully marketed it as an event movie, and as a largely standalone tale set on a separate Earth, it's likely to be a far more welcoming prospect than a feature led by streaming characters (Marvel...
