Dimwit the Dog goes chasing a fox, but soon gets confused as to who's chasing whom in this funny if derivative Terrytoons cartoon.
Mannie Davis directs from a script by Tom Morrison and John Foster, and in running variations-on-a-joke the three of them do tend to ring so many changes that they grow repetitious. Fortunately, as soon as they start to pall with the traveling-through-tree gags, they shift to one in which Dimwit disguises himself as a lady fox to trap the eponymous Felix, and it's at that point we find ourselves in Bugs Bunny territory. Even that is ameliorated by the constant switching around, resulting in a funny effort from Paul Terry's team.

When Evan Adams was a child, Adam Beach's father rescued him from a burning house in which his parents perished. A few years later, Beach's father left. So both young men have very different opinions of the man. When word comes that the old man has died, Beach decides to visit where he lived to discover the reasons. He doesn't have any money, so Adams offers him his savings for the trip, on condition he can go along.
It's based on the book The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight In Heaven and is a coming-of-age story for Beach's native American character. Filled with jokes and the simple truth that we are all making it up as we go along, with only poorly understood traditions to guide us, it's handsomely filmed and well performed. What more do you need in a movie?

Emory Green narrates this short subject extolling the past present and future of California's Nay area -- San Francisco and environs -- and the the part played in it by the transportation network run by Key Systems.
Over the past 80 years, this has changed into what is called today the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) systems. Back then, it was a private company, with trademarked characters and enough cash on hand to finance this film from Hugh Harman, who had switched from theatrical films to industrial films. This one is bright, glossy, contains a bit of animation, and looks forward to the marvelous postwar world.
