Shingekijouban Inisharu D: Legend 1 - Kakusei

They had the friggin damn time to change the whole animation into a reboot but they didn't even bother sticking back the original Eurobeat songs and the original story? Seriously man this made me blood boil. This movie could've had the potential of being better then the original anime. This is if they have given this any thought at all.

I watched the first episode of the anime and didn't like it because of the atrocious art as well as the confusing storyline but I was so damn grateful for the music man! Initial D has the best soundtrack outta all the animes that have good soundtracks. I so wanted to see the series progressing better but instead was also a serious flop too!!!

I am just so disappointed man, I know this review is stupid like many of my other reviews but I just thought this anime would be remembered better for its music as well as the hype of car racing...

Yes, the drawings are cleaner, and they skipped some annoying parts in the story of the first anime, but they skipped too much :

• The characters fellings are not developped.

• Lot of character backgrounds have been skipped.

• You don't see any relationship between Takumi and his father.

• The technical parts about the engines, the cars improvements, the driving techniques have been reduced to the minimum.

• You don't see how they improve the cars.

• You don't feel the same excitement during races. Is it animation ? The lack of details of what makes a difference between the pilots ? They really seems they have skipped the best parts of each race.

• Music and sound treatment isn't as good as the original.

I was disapointed. I would really recomand to watch the original animation if you have never watched it. Even if the drawing style seems a bit odd and old.
