Whats wrong with Vikram Bhatt??? i mean to say why a sensible intelligent man like Vikram Bhatt choose to write such a stupid script.. i am a big fan of him but Khamoshiyan disappoint me a lot..
Only the actor Ali Fazal and the soulful voice of Arijit Singh are the plus point of the movie..
Direction is fair enough in first half but once the secret reveals it looks like boring.
Ali Fazal has done a good job.
In one line "This Khamoshiyan is too LOUD..."

'Khamoshiyan' rides on a stunning premise, but what is eventually served, is under-whelming. The sole saving grace is its melodious music.
'Khamoshiyan' Synopsis: An erotic love triangle revolving around a writer adrift in the icy slopes of Kashmir where he discovers a woman with a strange, silent past.
The problem with 'Khamoshiyan' is its Screenplay Written by Vikram Bhatt. It's so confused between being an erotica and a horror/thriller, that it never achieves its aim. Despite a few spine-chilling moments in the first-hour, the second-hour is devoid of scares or thrills. How one wishes if Bhatt simply concentrated on just one particular genre.
Karan Darra's Direction is claustrophobic. Cinematography captures some moments well. Editing is fair. Music by Various Artists, is fabulous. Each & Every song is melodious.
Performance-Wise: Ali Faizal is earnest, but not memorable! Sapna Pabbi looks gorgeous, but is leaps away from being called an actress. Gurmeet Chaudhary hams. He's more funny, than being vicious.
On the whole, 'Khamoshiyan' is a great idea, gone wrong.

Its very sad to see such mockery in the genre "Horror",( sorry they don't need horror no longer, they got a sub genre called erotic horror/erotic thriller or simply horrex)..The most pathetic fact is that we will get even more better story from some old B grade horror films..
Scare, sex the pattern is itself repeating, and be honest it disappoints by all the way.. The plot is very ridiculous and unbelievable.. Why they are repeating the tested formula of "Main stream B grade" films..
I don't want to say the story, you can guess it ! What was so raunchy and erotic in the movie that it got an A certificate? At once you would be clueless seeing Sapna Pabbi stripping off and then Ali Fazal trying to make love to her in the very first meet!! Don't waste your time by watching this so called horror film! One minute silence please!

By and large, I'm not a fan of Bollywood Cinema (don't like that term much either, Bollywood and not cinema, just to be clear). There are definitely a few good filmmakers in India whose films are worth watching. However, most of the dynastic studios keep churning out the same old mediocre trash in the name of filmmaking and Khamoshiyan from the Bhatt camp is a perfect example of this.
Against my better judgement, I decided to watch this film for two reasons. Namely, Ali Fazal and the gorgeous locales of South Africa. I caught a glimpse of the scenery in the trailer and having lived in that country till some years back, I was simply hoping to revisit it through this film if nothing else. Unfortunately, the very first shock came when they attempted to pass it all off as Kashmir (and Bombay in one scene) instead. Really, who in their right mind would want to do that? If Kashmir is what they wanted, the film could have been easily shot in India.
Coming to the film itself, it's a mind-numbing amalgamation of a confusing storyline coupled with average on-screen performances and terrible CGI. It tries to do too much, and as a result, manages to get it all bogged down instead. For What it's worth, the plot could have worked a lot better had it been developed the right way by some capable storytellers.

What on earth are these movie-makers thinking?!? Just put in few hot scenes with romantic songs and people will merrily watch the film with their mouths open? Forget about horror, this film glorifies the cheap mentality of Indian film makers. In fact I am the biggest fool to waste my time on these crap films. Horror genre is losing its hold day by day not only in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. I know it is difficult to bring up an entirely original horror story these days, but at least deliver a few scares (even jump scares would do).
Here a writer Kabir (Habib Faisal) goes into the wilderness of Jammu to write a novel. No prize for guessing that he stays in a creepy lakeside lodge. The lodge is managed by a single woman Meera (Sapna Pabbi) whose husband Jaidev(Gurmeet Chaudhary) is ill. Soon our writer starts experiencing spooky activities like seeing scary reflections in glass, opening doors, etc. which were more comedy than scary. The wheels wear off even before the ride begins. The suspense and reveal behind the scary events was hilarious. Actually number of times I laughed at the scary moments is more than the number of times I was scared. Not a single moment was scary. By the time we reached the climax ridiculed with pathetic CGI and absurd ho-hums I was least bothered.
With forced romance and songs (a few good ones thanks to Arijit Singh), Khamoshiyan is just another horrex film of Bollywood which I should not have bothered to watch. After the horrendous 'Alone' just a few weeks ago, we have another one in the same month. How desperate can these film-makers be? 2015 so far has been really pathetic for Bollywood with horrible duds like 'Tevar', 'Alone','Dolly ki Doli','Hawaizaada' and now 'Khamoshiyan'. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time on this crap.
