Alien BTS

I am a big fan of found footage movies for many, many years and I enjoyed this movie immensely. If you haven't seen The Who Incident - which is part 1 - you should watch that first (also a great movie).

As a follow on from The Who Incident, Alien BTS brings an interesting and clever slant on the genre which resulted in some cameos from other people in the indie found footage scene.

This movie has a lot going on from the beginning, so I also really appreciate how much of an effort would have been put in to edit this movie. This movie is another evidence of how good movies can be as a result of collaborations within the indie found footage indie scene.

I hope there is a part 3 to come!

This movie has some of the worst acting I have seen in the genre. The lead is just not good.

This feels like it was thrown together in under a week.

Has one of my pet peeves of added background music when its supposed to be "found footage"

However, the film has a certain charm. You get the feeling its a bunch of friends hanging out and having a laugh.

Grab a few beers and watch it with some buddies and you might have a good time, otherwise avoid.

I love found footage films but dislike the trend of 30-50 minutes of nothing before the action and story starts.

That's where Alien BTS breaks the freaking trend and 10 minutes in your thrust into an exciting story. This movie will have you guessing are there really aliens or is someone doing an elaborate hoax?? As the movie goes on bits of information pop up pushing you on either direction. Your constantly trying to figure out what's going on and just when you thought you figured it out, a new clue point you into another exciting adventure. Also this movie has a large cast which adds to the fun. Top it off with fun special effects and this is one of the best found footage movies of 2025.
