Kukhnya v Parizhe

On its own, the film without context will probably be a bit difficult to watch, because there is almost no familiarity with the characters, and you need to know the context of what is happening in the film to better understand it.

The film can be generally described as normal by the standards of world cinema, and good for Russia. It has some typical jokes for the Russian mentality, a normal scene construction, some plot with different problems. If considered from the point of view of the world cinema, this is just another film by unpopular directors, who are just trying themselves in the cinema. It will not be any different from most normal films, and maybe in some moments even worse. From the point of view of films produced in Russia, it will be quite a good movie, although particularly as not different from others.

Do I advise to watch it? If you don't watch the series "Kukhnya" and haven't watched the third season, I wouldn't recommend it. For fans of the series, it opens up a little lore and the continuation of this series through the film. But I want to point out that at the beginning of the fourth season, the outcome of this is retold, and the viewing of the next season will not affect in any way other than the full picture of what is happening.
