As someone currently running a hotel in Berlin while the manager is away, let me tell you: I binged all eight episodes of Nighties, and I have never felt so seen.
From plot twists that kept me guessing to guest scenarios you truly couldn't make up (but somehow felt all too familiar), the show captures the absurdity and intensity of hotel life with hilarious precision. The characters were phenomenally written and portrayed-each one layered, chaotic, and painfully real.
What hit me hardest? The way the series exposes how much personal baggage people bring into professional spaces, especially in high-pressure environments like hotels in cities such as Berlin, Munich, New York, or London. Watching it felt like both a PTSD trigger and therapy-I laughed so hard I probably released years of stress in one sitting. I had so much fun!
Running a hotel isn't just hospitality; it's crisis management, social navigation, emotional triage, and sometimes even group therapy. Nighties gets that. The acting was top-notch, the dialogue sharp and witty, and the entire tone refreshingly human.
Highly recommend, especially if you've ever worked in hospitality, think about it... or survived it.

Apparently some Gen Z people getting things done during nightshifts in a hotel. They are all a rather hot and very funny. It's weirdly well written. Very unusual for a German production. Insane timing when they are joking. Catching character developments also. I would complain but a can't very much adored the soundtrack though. Has everything that makes indie stuff amazing but is much more than that.
Had to stop watching it. Too funny. Too good. Made me so happy. Was afraid to not be serious and mysterious no more. Couldn't risk my personality for this.
