Mordros

Two young men, friends from childhood. Their passion for open water swimming. One of them will go to studies . For the other , the event is perfect pretext for make true a dream from their childhood.

But not only the dream is the motif of his determination for swim in a bad wheater day . Few words about his father, a bruising on temple, the angry are few clues about his state .

The final is dramatic , and it reminds the essential traits defining true friendship, the useful refuge and the passing time and the difference of its perception.

A film as eulogy about connection between young men . Splendid images, well crafted story, fair performances.

Mordros is a story of two young men - open water swimmers taking on their last swim together. I found this film in my YouTube recommended and I was honestly shocked by how good it was.

I didn't know what I was expecting diving into Mordros but I was happy to discover this story. Excellent cinematography from Yuli Freed. The film does an amazing job capturing the intensity of the environment, especially on the swim day. As well as the gradual increase of desperation from Keegan (Sean Munro) after each swim up until their last.

Really really solid short.

Fantastic storytelling.

Breathtaking film making.
