It's strange to see real children in Peppa Pig; I'm not a big fan of that. It feels too much like Minisjang, just with the roles reversed.
Otherwise, the film is an okay warm-up, especially if an older sister or brother is about to have a younger sibling.
I wasn't particularly fond of the songs, and the film could have been shortened.
My 4-year-old daughter watched the film most of the time, but that was largely because of the popcorn. I actually like the Peppa Pig series quite a bit, and I miss the same vibe that it has. It's a bit hard to explain, but what the series gives me is a cozy, homey, and safe feeling. I missed that a bit here.

Is this made by other people than the ones making the series? Our 4 year old thought it was boring(other kids thought so as well) and as an adult who actually likes the series to a certain degree this didn't vibe with me. The choice of putting real life people in the movie was very off putting and the songs felt very uninspired. The story itself was pretty lacking as well. We assumed the movie was gonna be about the baby itself but that was only the last 10 minutes. Imo they could've done so much more with this movie, maybe it would have been better as an extra season? Who knows, but i cannot recommend this movie to anyone.
As a parent of a young child who genuinely enjoys Peppa Pig, I had high hopes for this movie. Unfortunately, it failed to hold my daughter's attention, something I wouldn't expect from a brand that normally engages her so well.
The film is overloaded with songs that drag on far too long, making it hard for children to stay focused. Instead of the usual fast paced playful storytelling we expect from the Peppa Pig series, this movie felt slow and filled with unnecessary musical numbers that added very little.
Another big letdown was the lack of familiar characters. Aside from Peppa herself, there were barely any recognisable faces from the show. This made the movie feel disconnected from what fans love about the series.
What really puzzled me were the frequent cutaways to photos and videos of real families from different cultures. While inclusivity is important, these segments felt forced and didn't tie into the story at all. Rather than enhancing the experience, they distracted from it, especially for young viewers who came to see animated adventures, not a documentary style interruption.
All in all, this movie felt more like an experiment than a proper Peppa Pig film. If your child is a big fan of the show, don't expect the same magic here.

For context my daughter is 3 years old, she's loves peppa and George, we has just become a big sister so she was able to relate, she thoroughly enjoyed and was left wanting more! She would have watched it again if she could!
The songs are catchy and who cares if it's not song by the actual voices it's for children not for adults, some of songs leave a tear in your eye and some of the funny bits are relatable if you have children.
Would highly recommend for children who love peppa pig and also anyone else going through having a baby with toddlers as it will help them understand and opens up conversations with them you would not have otherwise had during this strange time!

The songs are lame and the story is featherlight. Someone else wrote that this film might have been made in one afternoon using AI....he/ she might be right.
What, as an adult, frustrated me most was the supposed ease with which the Pig family accomodates the pressure from famoly expansion. Finding a new house, for example. To my experience, at least within the Netherlands, finding a house for a young family is near to impossible for a price that two incomes could afford. Reconstructing an existing one would also cost small fortune, notwithstanding the bureaucracy and stress involved in the process. Perhaps I'm mistaken about the Pig family's wealth, but the ease with which all of this is unfolding is of a demagogic unrealisticness. Using a realistic theme (new baby, pressure from family expansion) and then sketching a world that is soooooo far from reality is bordering unethical. The vast majority of families in this situation will be filled with stress and anxiety. If this can't even be lightly addressed when discussing this theme, then I would suggest not to discuss it at all.
3/10 because my kids didn't leave crying.
