Dude

This film ultimately proves to be just a passable watch, despite surprisingly high box office returns (a detail I find astonishing given its quality). The story is a total disaster, suffering from a second half that goes completely haywire with a deeply pathetic handling of sensitive topics like honor killing and sacred threads.

The major positive and saving grace is the music and background score by Sai Abhyankkar, which is an absolute delight to the ears. Regarding performances, Pradeep's constant mimicry of Dhanush (even down to his voice modulation) was noticeable, while Mamitha was good and Sarath Kumar delivered an impeccable performance. The action choreography and fun elements were enjoyable, but the average cinematography and the overall narrative failure made this film, in totality, a big miss.

Worst movie in PR's career.

This story normalizes everything that's bad for society - absolutely disgusting logic.

Forget about society; even as a cinema lover, I wouldn't want to watch such a movie ever in my life.

A well-acting heroine's career might easily end because of choosing such a wrong script.

DUDE starts off really well, even the 1st half is very nice with Pradeep anna's entry, to catchy songs like Oorum Blood and Singari, to comedy which fits the movie and PR just right. A massy interval block gets the audience thinking that the film will just get better. However the 2nd half shows a completely different story, with just a single twist which I feel is unnecessary. I didnt like the 2nd half except for the very little comedy and the emotional scenes. DUDE had so much potential, but for a debut director, I feel like he deserves a round of applause, Keerthi anna, if he used Mamitha, and Sarathkumarsir properly then the movie would be a blockbuster.

Message and logic of the film can be ok but its disgusting to watch it. Irritating to watch it, a guy marrying a girl who is in love with somebody else, then a baby and the whole movie drama is traumatic. No matter the good screenplay or fast pace or any good review, i still felt awkward the all of the movie.

I've gone to this movie with a blind expectation. A reason to watch this was only for premalu pugal mamitha and love today mannan prateep. First half was pretty decent and the story also got ended there itself there is no need for a second half in this movie. Whole second half gives a whaak feel and not even connected. Made up to fill the timing. Its simply spoiling the culture of south. Better don't take your kids to your movie it might push them to miss lead thier whole life in a wrong way. Worst second half I've ever watched in my 2025 second half.. not even worth for 3 star but giving 3 stars only for first half. I had a great impression on mamitha but its completely spoiled here.
