This movie is based on a best-selling novel, which I honestly haven't read myself. But I believe the story probably worked better as a novel than as a movie. For me, the plot was way too mainstream, the logic didn't make sense at all, and it was super predictable. The emotional scenes that were supposed to make people cry just didn't hit the mark. The dialogue felt stiff, the acting (except one) was kinda meh, and there were some characters that didn't even need to be there.
It's a good story, just not executed well. What I did like was Anantya Kirana's performance as Alie-she was really good, cool, and felt natural. The rest of the cast? Pretty standard, like something you'd see in a basic TV drama.
Overall, I'm giving this rating mainly because of Anantya Kirana's acting and the story that had potential, even though it didn't land the way it should've. If the movie had been truly inspired by the novel with a more interesting adaptation, it could've been way better.
