Strengths:
The isolated setting creates strong tension, with Yassi Pressman showing moments of intensity; suspense and eerie visuals add to the chilling mood.
Weaknesses: Predictable jump scares and uneven acting weaken the impact; slow pacing and shallow story prevent the horror from leaving a lasting impression.

This is one of those movies that manages to entertain but doesn't quite break new ground. I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10 stars. Good enough for a one-time watch, but not something that will linger in your memory long after the credits roll.
One of the strongest aspects of the movie is the acting. The cast delivered convincing performances that made the story feel grounded, even when the plot ventured into the absurd or predictable. The characters came across as genuine, which made me care enough to keep watching, even when I could already guess where things were headed. It's clear that the actors poured a lot of effort into their roles, and that helped elevate the overall experience.
What stood out to me most were the comedic moments, especially the scenes involving the nurse who thought she was hallucinating after taking drugs. Those moments added a lighthearted touch to an otherwise straightforward narrative. They were funny without feeling forced, and they gave the movie some personality. That balance of humor and seriousness is one of the film's charms.
However, where Isolated falls short is in its predictability. The storyline feels familiar, following tropes that most viewers will recognize right away. There weren't many surprises, and while the pacing kept things moving, I often found myself anticipating the next scene rather than being caught off guard. It's the kind of film where you can almost play out the entire plot in your head after the first 20 minutes.
That being said, the movie is still entertaining enough. It doesn't overstay its welcome, and it provides enough laughs and drama to make for a casual watch. If you're in the mood for something light, not too heavy, and with a few chuckle-worthy moments, Isolated delivers. Just don't expect a groundbreaking or deeply thought-provoking experience.
In short, Isolated is a decent entry in Filipino cinema on Netflix - funny in parts, carried by good acting, but ultimately too predictable to stand out. It's worth watching once, especially if you're curious, but it may not be a movie you'll revisit.

I do not understand the hate in this movie, the cinematography, suspense, and gore are well balanced but why is it rated 4.5/10? Maybe some of you folks must broaden some of your views and understanding Thriller movies I mean, the jumpscares are also part of the genre which makes this movie a Thriller-Horror Movie too.
To all the people who say this movie is rubbish, we must also learn to understand the new directors who are working tiressly creating art masterpieces like this movie.
Overall, I finally have high hopes in Philippine cinema and Kudos to Benedict Mique and his team for this absolute cinema whom I just feasted my eyes on for a total of a hundred minutes.
