Unlike the negative reviews I found this movie quite heartening. It's a slow build but from the beginning you can see that the main cast is already unhappy with her life.
The takeaway is this - Not staying true to yourself rots away at your soul, and in this film literally.
Many chase riches and success, barely anyone takes the time to even know who they truly are and the life they truly want. They chase and follow blindly until they realised they've thrown half their lives to waste.
It's a good message and a fairly obvious one. Live a life true to yourself. Obviously anyone who hasn't done much of any introspection would simply lack the depth to understand this movie's message or appreciate it.
While majority of the characters were not likeable that's the point. The message is clear and a good wake up call to anyone still living in limbo. Wake up and live a life true to yourself, not what others tell you.
Edit: it's called a Normal woman because thats all she wanted to be, since young.
Genuinely believe majority of yall are not very smart at all. Sorry director, you deserve a smarter audience. I got the message :)

I thought this movie was excellent. I watch mainly Asian dramas for my normal everyday consumption and a big fan of japanese horror. That being said, alot of people are going into this movie with the family dynamics of an American family. But the dynamics for alot of Asian families depend on filial piety. The parents are the most important even when married and you don't question them. And many husbands follow there parents without question as well. This leaves the wives stuck in a precarious situation where even if they want to leave, they cannot as it damages their reputation and the child's. And reputation is also a big thing within Asian families. You see all these dynamics played out within this movie..abusive husband and MIL, nonchalant mother of the wife and a stressed out wife whose only protector is her teen daughter, who has her own issues. This movie portrays a woman who loses her self within her marriage and how the marriage seems perfect until her perfect image starts cracking. She has no identity as a woman, only a servant to others.
Please go into this movie with a little research on filial piety and women's rights within marriage in Asian families.

Nothing normal about this movie. The plot is illogical, the ending is unreal, and on top of that, why they have some dialogue in English anyway while there is no foreigner character? Those who give good rating must be connected with the cast & crew. Skip it, I wonder why talented actress like Marissa Anita & Widyawati would like to be the part of it.
Sooo many movies are just re-telling and remakes, nowadays it was nice to see something different. The movie is a little slow to start but worth the watch. The lead actress that plays Milla is a stand out as is her daughter Angel. The movie definitely has some timeless messages always worth a reminder, beauty isn't everything and it's definitely more important to be true to yourself.
Seriously? The person who wrote this story is completely out of their mind.
This is the worst movie I've ever watched.
The storyline is illogical and the script is poorly written.
It's simply terrible! Terrible! Terrible!
I'm thoroughly wasting my time watching this thing! If I could rate it with a zero, I would definitely give it a zero.
