Marina Sena: Numa Ilha

Far off from my musical radar, I only got word of it due to a social media news saying that Johnny Massaro ("O Filme da Minha Vida") would be the star of Marina Sena's latest music video. "Numa Ilha" end up being a nice surprise when it comes to the music - slightly enjoyable - but the actor presence along with the singer and the idea developed, the settings of it all, only widened the appeal for me to stay focused and never blink through its entirety.

As Marina performs the song, there are many cuts to love moments of hers with Massaro, playing her boyfriend, rolling in bed or on the beach, touches, kisses, loving glances, and the beautiful scenario is a great addition to make this idylic romance look perfect. But there are some dark surprises and twists on the final minutes, of which I won't say, except for a daring (and disgusting, for my taste) sequence revolving lots and lots of fruits on a naked body. The song has a nice beat to it, and one of those romantic lyrics you keep singing afterwards, but it's a little strange that the clip decided to move on a surreal note, as if their love (or lust) was not real. Yet those darker tones made me watch it a couple of times, follow their performances - the girl knows how to be sensual too - and it was a fun viewing, one of the late surprises of the year. 6/10.
