The last days of the patriarch.

A good film about the relationships between the members of a family after the decision of the patriarch Jean to use assisted suide to end his life because of an incurable disease.

A very difficult moment for the sons Julien and Thomas and for the daughter Elsa: besides Thomas and Elsa who manage the family business of pastry have great financial problems.

On one side Madeleine, Jean's wife feels that her life will be very empty after the departure of Jean and this concerns very much Elsa, she speaks about it with Julien and Thomas. But Elsa has also another problem-her relationship with the writer Pierre who wants to be presented to the parents of Elsa-.

Thomas and Julien have also a tense relationship. On the other side Pauline has decided to break her relationship with Thomas. Will Madeleine and her children overcome these difficult moments ?

I enjoyed the performances of Jean-Pierre Marielle ,Mylène Demongeot, Léa Drucker, François Vincentelli, Aurélien Wiik, Laurent Bateau, Stéphane Metzger, Barbara Cabrita, Miljan Châtelain and Joana Person.
