Wore Me Out . . . .

I saw this Easter morning when I really needed to go to sleep. (I stayed up all night. No, not drinking or celebrating!) The show exhausted me. I can't believe all that is done in many places in Europe to celebrate Easter. It's not just Easter Sunday, either, but all of Holy Week.

We are talking about endless religious services and parades with gorgeous floats night after night. Some of the traditions date back hundreds of years, or was it thousands? Countless individuals are in churches or on the street. All of that nothing compared to the crowds at St. Peter's Square.

Mr. Steves also covers many of the foods associated with Easter; from beautifully decorated eggs, to big hollow chocolate ones with gifts inside; to the various types of Easter meals. Few of the meals looked that good to me, and the roasting lambs at the end of the show looked absolutely sickening. Definitely time to go to sleep.
