Detective Ujjwalan

I would be honest - I had very bad perception starting to watch this - with Dhyan's choice of script and acting history - but the movie was pretty decent !

This is not a masterpiece or even a great film - but is engaging, most of humour lands and acting is pretty decent. Writing, especially towards the end was not that great - but overall, the movie engages and entertains.

The score and music are a bit too loud and editing is messy (especially towards the end) and pacing off in the middle bit - had these been better - this could even have been a great movie.

As it stands - it is watchable, pretty good movie.

Detective Ujjwalan is a painful exercise in missed potential. The film lacks a proper script, meaningful dialogues, and any emotional depth. The idea of setting the story in a village is nice. But the film offers little more than close-up shots and dull faces, failing to create any charm or appeal. It tries to pass off as an old-school adventure, but it ends up being a below-par, boring piece of pointless fluff. And unlike what some say, this is not quirky like Scooby Doo. It's boring as hell.

Dhyan Sreenivasan, in the lead, gives a performance so dull it feels unfair to the audience and the story alike. He brings no spark to Ujjwalan, a protagonist who is neither heroic nor remotely interesting. Siju Wilson starts off well as a police officer, but his sudden devotion to Ujjwalan makes no sense.

There's nothing that holds the viewer. No emotions to connect with, no solid plot to follow, and no reason to care. The storytelling is stale, and the whole thing feels empty. Maybe Vineeth Sreenivasan could have played Ujjwalan better. Someone with the hidden humour and flair, like his Adv. Mukundan Unni? Just a thought.

Ultimately, it is a dull, boring affair. It's supposed to be a mystery, but you're too bored to want answers. That should say it all.

Detective ujjwalan is a horror comedy movie which revole around the village plachikave which is facing a threat they never seen before .

The movie is poorly executed. It tries but fails to impress me as an audience.

The comedy was outdated . The direction felt like a letdown. The music is forgettable . The story not that great . The climax fight look forced, as main character alone goes into the fight . The film put a very bad effort in redirecting the main character into mistaking someone for a killer.

The character arc of villian was not bad , it was good . The twist at the end was good . The hero arc was also good . His journey of overcomning his fears and standing up was nice ( even if it's a small thing).

It is a wasted potential . They could have done a better job to establish the village and its people ,their emotion ,their doubts ,their fear but they didn't. The film doesn't stand out among other serial killing stories. It felt like a cheap copy of other serial killer movies

For me the film Detective ujjwalan is a letdown.

Comedy at its peak like gosh dhyan sreenivasan absolutely killed it in this movie and was great to see such a fresh take of comedy similar to ninnal Murali but with detective elements a bit of a scooby doo movie definetly worthwile.

So I would have to reccomend this movie to yall strongly as me and my brother mother sister father grandfather and grandmother enjoyed it absolutely peak cinema from second half the movie takes a huge turn and ur left clueless by what u witnessed in the last 15 mins so again I strongly recommend this movie to all that want to see a great family entertainer and enjoy memorable comedy mommemts.
