    Malaysia Best Animation

    Love the story, enjoyed it.

I can see this animation potential. Graphic is really good. Proud to see this achievement in Malaysia animation.

Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 is an exciting continuation of the popular Malaysian animated series, bringing us back into the high-tech, action-packed world of young Ali. As a fan of the first movie, I was curious to see if the sequel could live up to expectations-and it definitely did!

The movie explores themes of bravery, friendship, and standing up for what's right.

Emotional ride that is sure to satisfy both fans of the original series and newcomers alike.

Ejen Ali The Movie 2 - Misi: Satria: A Massive Win for Malaysian Animation

Ejen Ali's second cinematic mission truly hits the mark. The animation is slick, expressive, and on par with international productions-every scene feels alive, every moment well-crafted. There's a noticeable step-up in both visuals and sound design, making it an immersive watch from start to finish.

The plot goes deeper and darker this time, with twists that genuinely caught me off guard. It's not just action-packed-it's emotional, thoughtful, and full of heart. The characters feel more balanced and developed, and the values of teamwork and friendship shine through without being forced.

Whether you're a long-time fan or just getting into the series, this movie delivers a solid punch of nostalgia, action, and national pride. And yes-stay until the very end for the credit scenes. You won't regret it.

A Visual Triumph with Room for Deeper Impact

It's truly a proud moment when a local animated film like Ejen Ali The Movie 2 premieres alongside international titles (if you notice) and still commands strong attention from the crowd. For those of us who grew up in a time when Malaysian animation barely had a presence in cinemas, this milestone feels monumental. WAU Animation has once again proven that Malaysian studios can deliver world-class quality.

Visually, the film is a stunner. The animation is smoother than ever, with detailed lighting, expressive motion, and dynamic cinematography. There's an evident step-up in production values, and it shows in every frame. (I am super excited even from the first raining scene!)

    And the highlight for me? The S. A. T. R. I. A. suit.

I absolutely loved every moment involving the new suit. The design is not only sleek and modern, but also carries subtle cultural elements that make it uniquely Malaysian. But beyond the looks: it's the powers! Each core ability of the suit brings a new level of excitement to the screen. Watching Ali master these features one by one is thrilling and satisfying, especially for longtime fans who've followed his journey since the early days.

Story-wise, the film builds on Ali's growth as a hero, diving into themes of responsibility, leadership, and internal conflict. The direction is commendable, but I personally felt there were some missed emotional opportunities that could have elevated the narrative.

A few emotional moments, meant to deliver an impact but arrived too suddenly, with minimal buildup. One emotional scene in particular feels a bit forced and out of place, which slightly weakens its overall effect.

Additionally, a core friendship-themed song is introduced early in the film, but its placement feels underutilized. Had it been used during the film's climactic emotional moments, it would've amplified the feeling the story wanted us to feel.

This stands in contrast to Ejen Ali The Movie 1, where the placement of "Kita Jaga Kita" was completely unexpected, perfectly timed, and injected emotional excitement - giving the scene an unforgettable weight. (Not to mention the hilarious iconic mamak maju scene + soundtrack)

When it comes to the villain, EATM2's antagonist feels more distant and less evil. While the threat is real, it lacks the raw emotional connection and performance weight we saw in Niki from the first movie. Niki's struggle, pain, and motives were deeply felt, her presence lingered long after the credits. The new villain here is intriguing but doesn't leave quite the same mark.

That said, the soundtrack overall is still solid, especially "Hanya Kamu." While it may not be as instantly iconic as previous themes, it carries emotional maturity and becomes more impactful with repeated listens. (I must admit watching the trailer repeatedly hyped me up and I was expecting Bangkit! Echoes as Ali regain his spirit to win the battle once more) Better placement within key moments would've made a huge impact! Both to the story and to the song!

Not to mention some of the key figure we all have been waiting for years, could've carry more weight and significant to his presence.

In structure, EATM2 vibes feels more like a continuation of the series rather than a tightly-contained cinematic arc.

    Conclusion

Ejen Ali The Movie 2 is a proud achievement in Malaysian animation, visually masterful, technically solid, and packed with action. And A MUST WATCH for every Malaysian! Will I watch it second time? YES! Third time?? Still huge YES!!

While it doesn't always hit the emotional highs of its predecessor, (EATM 1 sets the standard really high I still can't move on) it still offers an entertaining and meaningful experience, especially for those who've followed Ali's journey. (Since day 1! Now Im 35 years old)

From one the biggest fan of Ejen Ali, Thank you WAU for all of your great and hardwork!! May the production thrive for years to come and may this movie hit box office and gain its spot at the top tier.

    Final rating: 8.5/10.

    Definitely 10/10

As a Malaysian, I'm incredibly proud of this film. Having followed the Ejen Ali TV series from the start, I always believed it had the potential to evolve into something even more exciting-and this sequel absolutely delivers. The overall quality, from animation to storytelling, is top-notch and truly world-class. It's inspiring to see local talent producing content at this level, proving we can stand alongside international productions. I'm really looking forward to Season 4 of the series and will definitely be watching the next movie sequel when it drops. Kudos to the team for raising the bar once again!

From A Father's Eyes: Why Ejen Ali Is More Than Just a Kid's Show

From A Father's Eyes: Why Ejen Ali Is More Than Just a Kid's Show

By Harman - Father, Fan, and MATA Operative in Spirit

When I first sat down to watch Ejen Ali with my kids, I expected the usual: some laughs, some action, and a predictable storyline wrapped in cute animations. What I got instead... was an adult meal - served hot to a hungry man.

This Isn't Just Animation - It's Art with Soul

Ejen Ali isn't just flashy visuals and fast-paced missions. It's a layered world built on emotional stakes, internal conflict, and moral dilemmas that hit close to home - even for a grown man juggling work, family, and purpose. My kids came for the action. I stayed for the truth.

    Real Characters, Real Arcs

Ali isn't your typical overpowered hero. He's vulnerable, confused, and constantly questioning the system he works for. Alicia isn't a sidekick - she's her own leader. Rizwan, Khai, even the antagonists like Numeros or Niki - they're not just "bad guys." They have motives. They carry scars.

And that's what pulled me in: character arcs that grow, shift, and sometimes break your heart.

Plot Twists That Don't Treat You Like a Kid

This series (and especially The Movie 2) throws curveballs without warning - just like life. There's espionage, betrayal, ethical grey zones. It makes you ask: What would I do in Ali's shoes? What's right, really? These aren't questions I expected from a show with gadgets and hoverboards - but here we are.

Bonding with My Kids Over Something Smart

Best part? I get to share this with my children. We're not just watching. We're talking, analyzing, fan-theorizing. It's a rare kind of show that bridges the generational gap - where both dad and kid can feel equally excited, invested, and moved.

Final Thoughts: Ejen Ali proves that Malaysian animation can compete on the world stage - not just in visuals, but in heart and intellect. It's not "just for kids." It's for anyone who's ever wrestled with doing what's right, choosing who to trust, and finding their place in a complicated world.

And if you're a dad like me? Trust me - this isn't a cartoon.

    It's a lesson. A memory. A bond.

    One mission at a time.
