1000 Babies: A Gripping Crime Thriller Worth Your Time
If you're looking for a compelling Malayalam series, 1000 Babies on Hotstar is a must-watch! The show brilliantly merges crime, mystery, and psychological tension into a unique narrative. Led by a stellar cast, including Rahman, Neena Gupta, and Sanju Sivaram, each actor delivers an outstanding performance that keeps you hooked from the start. Rahman, in particular, shines with his restrained yet powerful portrayal, perfectly suiting the mood of the series.
Though the series begins with a hint of horror, it quickly evolves into a crime investigation that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The production quality is superb, with stunning visuals and Sankar Sharma's haunting background score adding to the atmosphere. The writing by Najeem Koya and Arouz Irfan is sharp, maintaining interest even through the slow-paced moments.
At over 40 minutes per episode, the seven-episode series can feel lengthy, but the engaging plot and unexpected twists make it worthwhile. If you enjoy well-crafted thrillers that demand your full attention, 1000 Babies is worth the binge! The cliffhanger ending leaves you eagerly waiting for a possible second season.
Highly recommended for fans of crime thrillers and Malayalam dramas!

I personally love the tales where the audience is left to answer open ended interpretations. 1000 Babies is one such take on mystery. If you're comfortable with wanting to make guesses like, "Will there be a Season 2?", "Why did the protagonist do such horrendous things?", "What did the end mean?",etc., then 1000 Babies is just the show for you. With its many twists and turns it will keep you wanting for more. Worth your time. Besides, every viewer is bound to have a different opinion about the story as it is not a story with a definitive end. I would love it if there is a Season 2 as it would be a pleasure to see what more could the scriptwriter have in mind. Definitely a must-watch.
1000 babies is one of its kind series with a very different storyline! The plot is mind boggling and out of box concept. I watched the Hindi version which was decent in terms of dubbing. This is a slow burner and don't expect too many twist and turns every episode. The story is gripping but due to its slowness you may loose interest. Story is revolving around 1 character which makes it fascinating. Dramatisation and screenplay is okish and characters have done justice. Season 1 could have easily be completed with 4-5 episodes.
Definitely would look forward to watch the season 2. Hopefully it would not be a drag unlike Season 1.

Average to above average series.
It's good for One time watch. Making is really good.
It is good to see Rahman back on screen.
Manu M Lal has done an outstanding performance. Also Sanju had played his role really well.
Although there are so many positives there are certain factors that could have been improved., Sometimes it's dragging, like for example unnecessary explanations of what happened, which is quite not necessary as we can guess it easily.
Also somewhere I felt lost or not engaging.
Overall, it's a good making, good to watch won a Friday with friends. Keep going... ...........

An intriguing title and interesting poster definitely drew me to this series, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. This is a spoiler-free review, as it's important to watch the series with minimal prior knowledge to get the full experience.
The story unravels around a shocking confession and the effort to maintain its secrecy, as its revelation could shake the entire nation. As they grapple with this situation, the police team must protect those who may be affected by this indigestible truth.
The plot is truly unique, and its presentation is engaging. The story gradually reveals its layers, keeping you on the edge of your seat-a testament to the brilliant writing. The first three episodes are a buildup, and you may feel confused, but hold on; everything will be clear by then, and the rest of the episodes offer a solid investigative ride. The series ends on an intriguing note, leaving room for a sequel.
Rahman leads the show and is decent as an investigative officer. However, he lacks a bit of the commanding presence typical of such roles, making you wonder if a more powerful performance might have elevated the character. Sanju Sivaram is the real star of the series. Finally given a role where he can shine, he proves that with the right part, he can deliver excellently. Neena Gupta appears only as a cameo, seemingly cast to attract a national audience with her presence on the poster. The rest of the cast performs their roles perfectly.
The investigation procedures are realistic, with no gimmicks, fully immersing you in the story. You might guess the twist, but that doesn't detract from its beautifully crafted presentation. The series doesn't cut corners on locations, shot authentically across various settings, adding to its realism. A questioned nudity scene felt natural within the narrative. However, the overuse of cuss words sometimes felt forced and unnecessary, and the attempt at a Palakkad dialect was far from authentic, even becoming a bit of a mockery after a point.
This is a strong series that's worth a watch. If you enjoy investigative suspense thrillers, add this one to your list. Watch it soon to avoid any spoilers that could diminish the thrill of watching it firsthand.
