While the characters portrayed are indeed criminals who have deviated from socially acceptable behavior, it is essential to acknowledge the complexities of their situations. They embody women who find themselves ensnared by the pressures of life.

For instance, the character Gao Yuexiang, portrayed by Zhao Liying, aspires to lead a dignified life while striving to secure a better future for her daughter. She confronts numerous adversities and societal challenges, often portraying herself as a strong woman. Despite their challenging circumstances, she and others in similar situations merit the chance for renewal and the pursuit of a hopeful outlook on life.

The performances delivered by the cast are commendable, effectively engaging the audience in the narrative of the film.

The essence of the narrative revolves around the courageous act of confronting injustice and the importance of vocalizing our emotions when we feel hurt or distressed. It emphasizes seizing the moment and tackling challenges head-on, especially during those unpredictable twists and turns that life often presents. This approach embodies the spirit of We Girls, as it resonates with the diverse experiences we all share. I am genuinely excited about how this film captures the powerful dynamic of women supporting one another. It beautifully illustrates the importance of expressing feelings openly rather than suppressing them, fostering connection and understanding. Zhao Liying delivers a strong performance, portraying a complex character-a marginalized individual reintegrating into society after serving her sentence. She convincingly embodies the role of Gao Yuexiang. Lan Xiya is recognized for her promising performance, with several moments showcasing her character's depth, mainly through notable twists. The other actresses also provided strong portrayals throughout the film.

The plot begins with a bit of narration and gradually builds to a climax. The kind of movie becomes more interesting the more you watch it. It experiences suffering but doesn't respond with anger. It can be wronged, but won't be insulted. It fights back immediately when trampled upon, showcasing incredible perseverance and resilience. If society causes the pain, they will respond in kind. With this level of expression, We Girls points to a deeper meaning. Why did these characters suffer such a fate? Was it because they were imprisoned? Or is there more to it? This question reflects the contemplation left by the Director. I enjoy the movies that make you think. The ending is uplifting, leaving me with a sense of relief. It's been a long time since I saw such a warm film in the theater-it's heartwarming, joyful, heart-wrenching, and tense.

We girls not only look confidently toward the future but also embody the ideals of solidarity and mutual support. This film powerfully expands on the themes of female realism, vividly depicting the survival challenges faced by women who have been released from prison. Gao Yuexiang, as a mother, refuses to rely on men or seek pity; she stands firm in her own abilities and self-reliance. As the saying goes, "Just treat yourself as a piece of iron." Gao Yuexiang represents iron, with life acting as the hammer. After enduring countless challenges, she forges herself into a sharp sword, ready to confront evil and tackle the injustices of life head-on.

Zhao Liying delivers an outstanding performance in this film, which, together with its compelling narrative, leaves a profound and lasting impact on the audience.
