Invaders

I am not a fan of gore for the sake of gore; don't like it in any genre normally – and I think horror movies generally have become less and less interesting the more they focus on lingering shots of bloody violence and sadism. However, I actually really enjoyed this short film – which seems to use more fake blood than any other resource. The plot sees a Thanksgiving home invasion starting out with a debate over masks, and end up with something entirely unexpected. The first half of the short is witty in its dialogue and also some elements of the visual delivery. This sets a certain tone which I quite liked and made me feel like I was on ground that I knew. The second half was almost more enjoyable as a result of flipping this with a sudden moment of violence which is excessively absurd but yet funny.

It is the type of short I really shouldn't like, but it is hard not to enjoy it for what it does and the manner in which it does it.

For those of you twisted individuals that find yourself laughing at horror scenes, where the events leading up to the gore are just plan comical, then this is a film you will truly appreciate. This film had all of us here at the office, dieing all the way through the credits... This short was incredible and stimulated a lively debate amongst our colleges here, only after we checked the locks on our doors. All laughing aside the underlay of this film will creep you out and keep you thinking of it long after, hence the above mentioned group of grown men locking the doors.

For those of you who just want blood and more blood and can't appreciate the subtle humor, there is more than I can describe. This is a quality production by our accounts. The amount of shocks, twist and thrills these guys packed into this thing will definitely impress you.

There is so much packed into this film. You will watch it over and over again. The pure horror in this film is suburb. True artists and professionals. This film will leave you truly impressed. If you honestly watch this and are not creep-ed out, laugh, didn't enjoy it, or think any thoughts at all..... you may be a zombie, or other part of the undead, or may want to seek medical attention, because something is definitely wrong with you. ...for a kind of mix who seems imposible. or absurde. or crazy. but who works. in impecable manner. because it is an embroidery- film. cliches, themes, motives. and a story about...bad luck. two guys. a house. a plan. and ...the chaos. all familiar. but in different positions. and that did it a strange seductive film.
