La Playa

This movie was presented at the 28° edition of the Festival Latino Americano held in Trieste Italy in October 2013. This director of the Festival "Rodrigo Diaz" have introduced the movie giving great impression about this Marco Pollini's film. it' a great movie about the conditions about poor children in Barranquilla, Colombia La Playa is the story of the poor children of a community in the city of Barranquilla, in the north west part of Colombia on the Atlantic coast. It's also the story of the schools and foundations who help those children. Foundations like "Manos Abiertas" (Open hands) and "Pies Descalzos" (Barefoot Foundation), founded by a visionary woman and artist, Shakira.

thanks for putting this documentary that describes the real condition of some people in Colombia. They need help, they need founds to go ahead. I am from Barranquilla, Colombia and can say that a lot or people from the foundations did many things for these children but the need more help In this movie they also talk about the little children of a football team called Amigo boys. Those children have dreams, to probably become real football players, can they continue to dream ? I would love if people from other country can understand the real situation especially of those children and give an hand, a small hand to help them, cause they really need it.
