The Other Side of Edinburgh

This is excellently directed, edited, shot and told. The stylistic choices are incredible. And at its base is a human story about a man who chose life and happiness over anything else. Something we can all learn from. There's so much interesting history and tidbits about hockey and hockey in the UK that will tickle your fancy. Must watch. 10/10. It excellently interweaves themes of sport, life, history, ambition, dreams, talent, family, and ultimately what draws us to the paths we take. Plus, for American viewers like me, gives a history of Edinburgh that you definitely didn't learn about in school. What a rough and tumble neighborhood full of guys who work the factory and play hockey because they like playing. This film is hockey's answer to Welcome to Wrexham. Go watch and enjoy.
