The story is generic, you'll instantly think of "Starting Over Again", "The Hows of Us", and "One More Chance" merged into one film with relevant formulas. There were lots of unnecessary scenes that didn't add up to the wholeness of the film and there are impactful scenes that were executed too sudden that lost its value in the story like Juancho's crying/begging moment in the rain. Characters were also not utilized like Bok being a supposed-to-be supporting actor, Sir JP which could have been the source of love wisdom for Juancho's fragile feelings for Zy instead of Papa Jun (which was totally random) and characters weren't properly established like Lei and Aiah. You'll even question how did the characters suddenly appear in the story. The cinematography was also odd, and the establishing shots in some sequences were off. Thanks to JoshLia for saving the movie though, their acting skills are really superb.
This movie represents typical Filipino generic trope - cheating and toxic relationship.
There are many plotholes like what happened to Matt? How did Zy met him? And is it justifiable to cheat when you're literally engaged? The feelings between Zy and Matt is close to non-existent to the point that you're even questioning how they got engaged in the first place. Matt's also not despisable since he's being professional at his work that would supposedly help Zy on her research. Kawawa pa nga siya eh.
This type of trope downgrades the image of Filipino movie developments. Their agruments are immature and illogical. It's like they just want to focus on making the audiences cry(tho it's hilarious for me) than making their plot consistent.
Lesson learned? Encourage cheating with others because of lOvE. At if you're caught doing it, just say "Sorry".
Sumabit lang ang movie dahil sa punyemas na love team. Kaya pala pabawas nang pabawas ang mga nanonood ng Filipino-related movies. Isa na ako jan, last ko na to.

Aside from me having a personal experience with what's happening on the movie, the movie is so great, with this JoshLia loveteam movie comeback.
I learned different things on this movie, about the culture, maturity and how Juancho learned from his mistakes.
If you are heartbroken or a person that left on a TIRING relationship or the person who was left behind, this movie is for you.
JoshLia acting is so pure and amazing, never made me boo even just a second. There's no hanging moments, the awkwardness of the two couple (based on the acting) is so natural, not BAD acting. I felt the feelings that the two characters were feeling. I felt everything,
So if you are again, a fan of FILIPINO ROMANCE MOVIE or you are a fan of JOSHLIA, then this movie is for you.

Story is very dry. Too many moments of silence and empty scenes that were a waste of time. Filipino movies used to have such a good story, building characters and creating moments we can all relate to. The characters are unlovable and so tone deaf. Unfortunately the story did not live up to the amazing cast. Movie came off corny as well. The characters had way too many plot holes, and it was ultimately annoying to watch the protagonists have such a ditzy and clueless motivation to just set aside their values for something so desperate. The ending was also unsatisfying. This new age of filipino movies with this style in my opinion are lackluster. I'd pass on this one.
Okay, first of all, this is the first filipino movie i've watched in cinemas ever since i moved here, and i gotta tell you, this movie is POINTLESS.
The jokes are unfunny, the story is plain bs, the only thing good about this movie is the trailer, i know right? The trailer is the only thing good about this movie.
Really, filipino movies were great, but ever since i don't know. Like 2016? It had gone HORRIBLY WRONG.
And ever since "Viva Films" decided to make "Vivamax" they have been NOT doing well.
The movie is rated "PG" in the Philippines but dosen't take the "Soft-corn" scenes into accountability, and i've watched Tarot, and trust me, Un/happy for you should've been rated R-13.
This movie really sucks, don't watch it for gods sake.
