¿Quién lo mató?

Very well done docudrama based on a true story.. En Español y Ingles dub. English dub voice over doesn't match English subtitles but the general message is same or those who are not bilingual. I know very little Spanish but I Enjoyed it, nonetheless. Thino Jerry Springer/Geraldo Rivera or Jenny Jones beiing murdered in broad daylight in the mid 90's. A popular variety TV host is assassinated. He is obnoxious, abusive, a junkie and successful and famous. The list of suspects is huge, The way it is filmed we get to see the crime from many character's pespective..I enjoyedit very much as an Anglo despite it being originally in Spanish. The story was worth it.

My wife is Mexican and was the one to choose this one. I didn't know anything about this crime before start watching it. I really enjoyed.

First, the cast is superb. I know Luis Gerardo Mendez from Narcos Mexico and Club de Cuervos. He's a talented actor. To add, all the other cast are great too. Most of them are pretty similar to real people.

Second, I have enjoyed the whole story divided by characters. I think it's quite original and interesting to understand all the main characters.

Last, the conclusion is great. I love how they have created this series trying to respect the intelligence from the viewers.

Anyway, I recommend this one if you love Mexican crime pretty well done series.

No pun intended - the show is about a murder of a TV show host ... and the search for his murder(s). I had no idea about the case or the individual before watching this. And I would not say that it gives you many answers to choose from.

This is not Rashomon, but it may remind you a bit of it ... when it comes to how it is being told. A few different perspectives and us trying to figure out what actually happened ... not an easy task to say the least. Very well acted and quite a few mysteries along the way.

The show is also showing a few things that you may find difficult to swallow ... especially the treatment of some individuals ... but how can we be certain there was abuse? Exactly ... we also don't entirely know it wasn't the case ... suspend your disbelief and let the show work the way it is intended to ...

It's amazing this title's getting the "raving" reviews it has, obviously they've set a lot of people to write them, you start reading them and you realize they idolize him as if he had been Johnny Carson or David Letterman.

Paco's Stanley was just a show for people who had nothing to do, nor did they want to see anything constructive or educational, and by that I don't mean people should do that all the time, watching any movie or show with real substance is part of that constructive content... Yet, he had the same "push" that they gave Tv shows like "Hoy" or Chapoy's gossip shows.

Having grown during his time, and being a teenager, unfortunately, my mother indeed had nothing else o do and she would leaving playing as "companionship" or listening to anything that was familiar to her... So i remember the show well enough. They should ad re-runs in Youtube so you could just take a look and realize just how irrelevant and ignorance-provoking tv show pushed by Televisa (go wonder) A real waste of space and a perpetuation of the idea that all Mexicans are as ignorant.

This is a very well written and enacted series. I am not Mexican and I have never heard of any of these people. The idea about showing different perspectives in each episode was interesting. Each actor - main and small role - has acted very well. Especially, I liked the prison scenes. It wasn't filled with animal-like people, but was full of good and bad people who are mostly struggling in life like the rest of us - struggling for power, struggling for 3 meals a day, struggling for justice and for some peace of mind. It's a story that is relevant even today - people with money and power (try to) control the narrative everywhere, in Mexico or where I am from, in India.

But then, one thing has changed. Technology is throwing brighter and wider beacons of light on the current Pacos and Villareals.
