Ghost of Recent Past

"Ghost" floats adroitly between rom-com and the supernatural to conjure up a lighthearted look at a serious topic.

That "Ghost" works on several disparate levels speaks to its accessibility across a wide spectrum. Writer/director Edgar Garcia Chavez has gone to great lengths to seamlessly balance the obvious with the subtle; insuring that audiences will be discussing the film long after the lights go up.

"Ghost" has been properly recognized in a number of film festivals. Its innovative script is served well by engaging leads, high-end photography, production design and scoring that elevate the proceedings above similarly budgeted productions.

I really enjoyed this horror/comedy indie film. Kudos to Writer/Director Edgar Garcia Chavez. I didn't know what to expect going into it so it was a very pleasant surprise. Really enjoyed the two lead actors. There was nice chemistry between them. I particularly enjoyed the male lead actor. I thought he had good comedic timing. I also enjoyed the pacing of the film. I didn't find myself drifting off. Often times I find myself with films along these lines flat spots where my mind tends to wander off. Not so in this particular case. I stayed engaged throughout this nice gem of a film. My hats off to all those involved!
