Secret Liaison

i saw this on channel 5 one afternoon and thought, ''oh whats this going to be like' but it soon caught my attention, the story is good, quite tense at times, had me shouting at the telly, for them to run. the acting is pretty good for TV movie. the best thing is the story, it makes sense, and has you trying to work it out, a bit like a Agatha Christis movie, with small bits of evidence coming along. Of course it has some bits where you think, why did they do that, but i think that was more to do with lower budget, and few people on the cast,and lack of locations, but the story carries it. It could have been made into a full holly wood film, with a big budget and better actors,

OMG I cannot believe I am seeing yet another Meredith Monroe LMN film. What is this a week of bad movies? Here again, she plays a nosey unwelcome person who is just in the way. Breaking into buildings and generally being a royal pain in the ass.

And once again you want her to get caught and done in. A sorry sight of a movie with an equally sorry excuse for acting. Don't waste your time. Also in the cast are Lochlyn Munro, wasted in this.

It all is about this woman, Monroe, who is poking around for clues to help prevent her sister from going to prison for murder.

And once again she gets away with it. You are hoping that her boy friend will drop her and fast. How can he put up with this bimbo? Please.

So Sam is a hotshot LA lawyer. She gets a call from her ex-boyfriend Brad who is a detective in their hometown Seattle and is informed that Bren(da) Sam's younger sister has been arrested and charged with murder. So Sam drops everything in LA and flies back to Seattle to take on her sister's case.

Overall the storyline is pretty good. But the annoying thing was detective Brad who was as useful as nipples on men. Basically he did nothing to solve the case and all the investigation was conducted by sharp lawyer Sam. He couldn't even win in hand to hand combat. He got his butt whooped not once but twice by the same goon. His only accomplishment was trying to rekindle the love between himself and Sam, which for the life of me I don't know why Sam fell for it, after all like I said he was not much help.

And in the end when the judge dismissed the case, Brenda thanked Brad for everything he had done to help her! Oh really? Exactly what kind of help did he provide?

Meredith Monroe was so so and for some reason I do not like Rick Ravanello (seen him in a few LMN movies). But I do like Nicole LaPlace, she is pretty and quirky. That's about it for this movie.

A good-looking man is pursued and struck to death in an underground parking area. The offending automobile that finally hits Tommy Douglas (as Trevor Smith) is owned by attractive blonde Nicole LaPlaca (as Brenda "Bren" Simms). Three days later, Los Angeles lawyer Meredith Monroe (as Samantha "Sam" Simms) receives a call from Seattle detective Rick Ravanello (as Brad Mortensen). He is her ex-boyfriend. She is the main suspect's older sister. The circumstances and DNA evidence suggest Ms. LaPlaca did the dirty deed. The suspect is secretive and can't provide an alibi, making it difficult for Ms. Monroe to defend her little sister. "Secret Liaison" is strictly formula. Monroe caught sneaking into the office building after hours to dig up evidence is a tried and true highlight.
