One of the greatest Filipino series in our generation showcasing the battle for life and freedom of our ancestors during colonization of Imperial Japan. This show open our younger minds of how critical history is in our daily lives. It shaped who we are today. Our culture, our tradition and our character. Hands up to the creators, producers, all staff and actors who make this series move our hearts and feel from deep within how to be a Filipino which is very relevant to these days. Mabuhay Pilipinas kahit ang hirap mong mahalin. This kind of series sometimes reminds me of why I am a Filipino and why we should love the Philippines.

Great actors (except for the actress who plays Adelina. She is way too much and I hate her facial expressions and outburts of emotions, and gestures. OVERACTING!!!!) and I would've given it a perfect score had the CGI been good and the Japanese language more convincing. Philippine production still has a long, long, long way to go but this is truly an entertaining and educational show. I hope they didnt change the song intro though. This is just one of the only two shows where I never skip the intro. But since episode 39, when the song intro changed, I started skipping it. I dont like the new song intro. If it is a part of the same song, then I dont like that part at all. Anyway, overall, this show is just one of the very few Filipino shows that entertains me. I rarely watch pinoy shows coz they are all just the same but this one is okay. I just hope someone would tell that actress to tone it down. She is freaking me out. Her character isnt a crazy woman but she's acting CRAZY with too much energy that she has become too annoying to watch.

This series exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Cinematography, set designs, story, direction, actors' performances are all superb. The best Filipino series in ages.

Well-researched story. Doctolero has mastered the art of historical stories. Slow-paced yet no scene is a waste. Background music adds tension to the already heart pounding scenes.

Performances from all the lead and supporting actors are praiseworthy especially those of Richards and Lopez. Trillo never disappoints. Pangilinan has always been and will always be great, giving a supporting role justice and importance. De Leon is the contravida you'd love to hate.

This is one of the best Filipino shows I've ever watched. - Seeing how the story unfolds makes me want to see what happens next, and the plot is also well written. I am SO proud of everyone who has contributed to this series.

Another positive aspect of the show is how true to reality the beginning of the Japanese war and colonization of the Philippines is. I really commend the team for their researches.

The visuals, the story, the characters are amazing, just like the people who have tried their best to make this show a reality.

The beginning already got me hooked, as I saw how all the characters matured one by one.

The chemistry, different relationships and various interactions between the characters are all skillfully done. The scenes either make me want to laugh or cry.

I am pleased and satisfied to have come across this series, and I am very content.
