Super Team Canada

This show isn't that bad. As a Canadian I did not like that the humor of this show leaned heavily into Canadians stereotypes I wish the humor was more funnier and less stereotypical. Though I didn't mind all the funny hockey jokes as someone who has been playing hockey for a long time some of these weren't bad. Though I didn't mind the main superhero's there were two characters I despised don't even get me started on poutine he was a terrible written character his personality and traits were always annoying to listen to. I also hated the prime minister in this show he was dimwitted and annoying but if they wanted to portray our Prime Minister, then they kinda nailed it. The two things I did like in this show was when one of the episodes did a parody of Paw Patrol I found that kinda interesting and funny that and parody of Wayne Gretzky. The animation isn't that bad and the voice to text and is pretty good though. I wish the creators of the show made this more funnier and have awesome humour like family, Guy, Simpsons or Futurama. Overall, it's a meh show I wouldn't watch it again though.

Super Team Canada is an adult parody where the only availiable super team to defend the world are super heroes from Canada. The show strikes an odd balance between portraying them as inept jokes and being patriotic, which results in some very odd vibes. The show seems to have a heart, but it cynically subverts it more often than not, so it's hard to care about the characters themselves beyond being vessels for jokes.

The jokes themselves run the gammot from toilet humor to legitimately insightful critiques of canadian animation, but they're mostly canadian sterotype jokes. The animation itself is serviceable and the character designs okay, though I find it odd how two members of the team have redundant powers, being both water/ice based.

A weak recommendation.

I usually like to post a review after finishing a whole season, but since I'm not sure I want to do that, I'll post one here for the first two episodes I watched and maybe update if I finish the first season.

I want to start with the positive, the voice acting is great in it, a lot of personalities, I don't like RCM-PC voice, but it's not because of the voice actress, robotic voices in cartoons tend to grate on me, and the robotic effect on this one is awful.

I laughed a few times, there was some good jokes, but we will come back to that later.

And I actually like the overall artstyle, it feels like old-timey comics and a good way to keep it interesting with (I suppose) a limited budget.

So why such a low rating? It's bad guys, earlier I said that I laughed a few times but it's actually not great since this show cannot stop throwing jokes at you, there were not one scene to let you rest, it's always joke after joke, it's trying hard to make you laugh with too simple humour. I'm begging you take the time to bring the jokes! It's exhausting to have any situation, line of dialogue concluded with a stupid joke.

I liked the overall art style, but to be honest, the character design is so ugly. I would say only Chinook looks good. The worst is maybe Poutine with his papato-guns. You already have too many jokes in your show, you don't need to turn the character design into one, too.

It's proudly Canadian, and that's why I will probably watch the whole show to support. I liked the specific moments that was really "in your face" Canadian, I was expecting that and I was not disappointed.

I don't think the show will fix its issues for its first season (especially the awful character design) but I do wish they do for the second one. There is so much potential here and the voice actors are so in-game, I have faith in it to turn out very good.

I watched the first two episodes and, as a Canadian, this is terrible! I love the cast for the most part, not sure why the robot has a bad Indian accent though.

But yeah, this is terrible. I feel the show is meant for everyone else but Canadians as it's rife with Canadian tropes and cliché's! It turns the cringe up to 11. If we're going to use cliches, then whoever wrote this should get a putine bath in Alert, Nunavut while being smacked with beaver tails and fighting 100 Canadian Geese (covered in putine, the geese will make short work of our subject).

The alien boss is awful...it took everything I had not to turn it off when he was talking in the beginning. So bad!

So funny. And I love the quick episodes. I'm not even Canadian so there is probably a lot of stuff I didn't get but who cares? This show is awesome!

So much great stuff, the villains are funny and the show doesn't take itself too seriously. I'm not an "expert" (hater) like others here but I just watch shows to be entertained and I watch comedies to laugh - both those boxes checked with this show.

Negatives: animation is super cheap-looking but that also reminded me of the old Spiderman. Also, I wish there was more UN (nice to see other countries get mocked and we all deserve it) and I'm loving the Prime Minister - would love more of him.
