Caper

Just saw this an hour ago at SXSW. Very well done across the board including premise, the story, casting, cinematography, music, etc. Overall you really begin to like all the main characters and they all play perfect, lovable idiots. Nice plot and very fitting for our current social environment.

Gist is a long time friend of a gang of guys makes a potentially life altering mistake. Thus been good friends the group heads out to ensure his mistake does not doom him.

Don't want to give too much away but each scheme then come up to help a buddy all have some great moments and dialogue. Great interaction between the primary four supposed problem solvers. Lighthearted and just a good time.

Great synergetic connection of the cast and the brotherhood storyline carries you through a wild night of antics and a gritty New York.

Explores common misconceptions of perception and misguided expectations with victory just outside of the grasp of flaws in humanity rooted in truth.

Very fun and worth the watch . Men get to be men and others may argue the film is too masculine but is worth paying attention because it doesn't venture away from a truth that is human nature and highlights what some views may call out as a social construct problem when the film is literally showing you the reason why it's a problem.

The contrasting and conflicting paradox parallels an alternate reality that's believable when a group of idiots enable one another's delusions .

This isn't a film that will make you want back 88 minutes of your life after ingesting.

I just saw "Caught Stealing" the other night, so I'm in a New York headspace for some fun "After Hours" adventure. Dean Imperial directs this to within an inch of its life, maintaining a steady pace of mirth and action underpinned by the motivation of a bunch of guys who have no choice but to help out a mensch in his darkest hour. The casting is topnotch, with many scenes stolen by an actor walking on for a small turn, and the inventive narrative confounds where I expected it to go. Also for a microbudget digital indie it looks like a million bucks, with tons of glowing halation conjuring that film look. And mostly, I love seeing n ensemble which looks like actual humans, credit Imperial for looping in real New York theater actors.

Just watched Caper and I'm still laughing! My friend Asa absolutely shines in it. The movie is a hilarious, heartfelt ride that perfectly captures the chaos and beauty of true friendship. I loved how the night kept evolving into unexpected and funny scenarios - every twist felt fresh and fun.

The writing was sharp, the characters were all so memorable, and the chemistry between the cast made it even more enjoyable. It felt authentic and full of heart, without ever taking itself too seriously.

Whether you're watching with friends or just need a good laugh, Caper is a total gem. Don't miss it!
