Mumble: Fate of A Lost Icon

If you have ever felt the peace of watching a film that is OBVIUOSLY satire but the world within the film itself is unironic and unaware...it's a good feeling. THIS FILM IS THAT. That's the beauty of the mockumentary. The lines blur, because the characters are so close to the reality! And they are confessing their passions and opinions about their own experiences...when it's done right it's brilliant. This film does it right. Amazing direction and story tellin by main star and director Frankie Midnight! It's the story of Young Guttah Nuts, an underground legend that went from Miami street kid with a heart of gold, doing what he must to survive, to the most influential rapper ever because he INADVERTENTLY created Mumble Rap. Here he is finally given the credit and story he deserves! Hilarious, Touching, Cautionary, Passionate and an all out Fearless piece of film that take all chances and pull no punches!! It makes fun of itself but the characters are genuine so you honestly feel Sympathy and end up rooting for the underdogs of the film. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I saw this film when it was a part of the Miami Film Festival-- a first-time feature filmmaker effort, microbudget-- and it's ridiculously funny. Every time I watch it I find something else I love about it.

It's a classic rise to fame and fall from grace story told as a mockumentary. The way that the director presents absurdity in various scenes is something that reminds me of some of my all time favorite comedies like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, early Woody Allen, and Kevin Smith's Clerks.

I really like that it does this for Mumble rap - legitimizing that genre of hip-hop as an art form that can handle being skewered cinematically, and poking at pop culture itself: as the range of what "makes it" expands, the time in the spotlight becomes brief to the point of instant erasure from memory.

Catch this filmmaker now because he's on the way up!

Mumble is a fun watch that takes a different step with mockumentaries. It is one of the few that feels like a real documentary being told about an artist few have learned about. This is a film that would age with a cult following no doubt. Performances and chemistry are so well done in the film. I recommend all to give it a watch. I believe many can enjoy and capture the story being told. The humor let alone is all time favorite of the film. This goes back to what I was saying about the chemistry. The actors bounce off each other greatly. The humor earns a rewatch in itself. Mumble is a film that is to watch.

I saw 'Mumble: Fate of A Lost Icon' this year at the Miami Film Festival and it has become one of my favorite viewings of the entire event. I'm so glad it has found a home in the streaming world for others to experience.

It is the most creative and hilarious mockumentary I have seen as of recent. Although it is a comedy through and through, I really enjoyed the heart and compassion that peaked in certain moments of the film and having those land. It made me connect to the story even more.

You can sense the passion and dedication of all who took part in the creation of this film and I hope more people get to see it!

This is simply a great funny movie for anyone that likes to laugh or likes comedy.

I enjoyed this movie. Very high quality. All the actors did a phenomenal job and an excellent performance.

I couldn't stop laughing at the movie; it made me feel good. Popcorn is a must! This is like a modern-day sequel of Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.

It is also a comedy and parody of hood films that will create laughter and fun among the target audience.

It's hilarious and very entertaining. I wouldn't mind seeing this movie on the big screen. The movie is kid-friendly. Oh, I can't wait for part two.
