Bringing Christmas Home" is a heartwarming holiday film that beautifully intertwines history, love, and the true spirit of Christmas. Starring Jill Wagner as Caroline Upton and Paul Greene as Russell Carlisle, the film takes us on an emotional journey in search of the past, ultimately illuminating the present.
The story centers around Caroline, a retired military officer turned history professor, who teams up with Russell, an antiques store owner, to unravel the mysteries surrounding WWII Army officer Orin Newton. Their mission is to reunite precious artifacts - Orin's dress uniform, medals, and a trove of heartfelt love letters - with his long-lost family before Christmas.
Jill Wagner delivers a touching performance as Caroline, exuding a perfect blend of strength and empathy. Her portrayal of a dedicated historian with a soft spot for lost stories is both relatable and endearing. Paul Greene complements her character brilliantly, bringing a warm and charismatic presence to Russell. The chemistry between the two leads is palpable, adding a genuine depth to the narrative.
The film's unique premise, focused on the search for Orin Newton and the unraveling of his love story with Alice, sets it apart from typical holiday fare. The incorporation of historical elements, such as epaulettes and insignia, adds depth and intrigue to the storyline.
As Caroline and Russell delve into Orin's love letters, the film masterfully weaves between past and present, revealing a tale of hope, sacrifice, and enduring love. The cinematography captures the essence of two eras, seamlessly transitioning between WWII and contemporary times.
The film's genuine emotion and well-drawn characters make it a standout. The climax is both heartwarming and bittersweet, leaving the audience with a profound appreciation for the power of love and remembrance.
"Bringing Christmas Home" is a touching reminder that the greatest gifts we can give are those that honor the past, connect us in the present, and inspire hope for the future. With stellar performances and a heartfelt narrative, this movie is a must-watch for those seeking a meaningful holiday experience.

This movie was absolutely beautiful and so endearing, I loved it!! There was such a rich story and mystery that honors and celebrates our veterans and military. Paul Greene is my favorite actor and he absolutely shined with the beautiful Jill Wagner. Their chemistry was electric and also sweet. I was teary eyed in multiple parts, in the best way. I haven't felt this connected to a Christmas movie in a while, I'm so glad I watched this premiere. Paul has an original song featured in the movie that really brought a whole new level of emotion and heart to the story. Would love a sequel of this or series based off of this story 10/10!!! Beautiful veteran Christmas tale.
In their third new movie of the 2023 Christmas schedule GA Family proposes two true and tested stars: a no-nonsense and unbelievably fit Jill Wagner and rugged, wholesome Paul Greene, still a real presence at nearly 50. They do perform at their highest, in a canvass of endearing moments and rich Christmas spirit. A love message found in a WW II uniform sends them in a joint quest trying to discover what happened to the original wearer, Army officer Orin Newton, and return these precious testimonies to his legitimate heirs, for Christmas. In a series of hit and miss encounters, they revive significant memories of the World War, reconstruct the mysterious life of the soldier, and discover each other. The film moves at an engaging pace, with heartwarming cameos and gentle, yet palpable chemistry between the protagonists. I feel their interaction is totally captivating. A secondary, nice idyll, interwoven with the main story, adds, rather than detracting, interest to the action. Somebody could object that a story about a world where everybody seems nice and kind is unrealistic and too sappy. Nor is the movie free of inconsistencies. Es an example, Orin Newton's friend, who served with him in 1941-1944, would be at least 100 years old, definitely older than the actor playing his role. Yet, if you enjoy, like I do, a clean, uplifting Christmas movie, one that wants to bring you a little magic and warm your heart, you may not help being grateful to GAC for wanting to produce and delivering this type of entertainment.
Just watched this film because I really enjoy Paul Green and Jill Wagner. For the most part the movie was entertaining, although some of the scenes seemed repetitious.
I found myself distracted by the visible change in Jill Wagners appearance since I last saw her in "Christmas In Evergreen" in 2018. Every feature on her face was altered and I can't imagine that in the last 6 years her looks went downhill requiring such extreme modifications. She was striking before but now she looks like a cookie-cutter version of all the other women who won't let themselves age gracefully. She has lost her appeal....

One of the better Christmas movies produced by GAC. But, Jill Wagner should have been the highlight of the movie.
Her appearance and performance were less than we've come to expect from her. I understand Wagner had to cut almost all of her lovely blonde hair off, for another job she was filming around the time she made this, but that auburn colored wig was just awful.
Maybe it was because it was so different from the blonde hair we have come to associate with Wagner.
They could have tried harder to make it look real, by at least attempting to match her natural hair color.
Past the appearance of one of the main characters, I actually enjoyed the movie. I just wish GAC & Hallmark would either try harder to make military themed movies look real, or not try so hard to dumb the topic & dialogue down for the viewers.
