A truly awesome, heartwarming, inspiring and realistic story! Captured and created by a creative and professional team. Formulating a movie where the real local people of Walvis Bay tell their story. I was filled with so many emotions from the start to the end and captivated by the mere humbleness of the people in Walfis Tale. The people's connection with the ocean and fish is generational and it was well displayed in the movie. The story will truly bring hope and inspire many. Thank you to everyone involved for Walfis Tale! We are rooting for part 2.

Walvis Tale is incredible! After going in blind at the Multichoice Film Festival in Windhoek, this short immediately transported me in mind and body to Walvis Bay.

While the format may be a documentary, Walvis Tale could more accurately just be called a cinematic storytelling experience.

Crafted with incredibly diverse and vibrant views of the different lives and environments that make up the coastal town during the day and evening, and sound design that effortlessly enhances the feeling of each scene. It isn't possible to give this short a rating of less than "Incredible!".

By the end - which comes too soon, you get a sample of the unique experience of living in one of many communities in Walvis Bay.

After expeirencing a small part of their stories as people who live, love work in Walvis Bay, I wish I could meet with many of the humans we experienced in the short.

I still don't understand fishing as a hobby, but after this film, I would argue this as a part of the human experience we must protect for those that do.

Ultimately Walvis Tale is a brief tapestry of the unique, rich, diverse and beautiful life that exists as the town of Walvis Bay. Something both delicate and textured, that deserves preservation.

Having visited the town before as a tourist, this is a beautiful gift from Tim Huebschle to the residents of Walvis Bay, and to visitors from Namibia or around the world.

Fascinating local story with real, relatable characters and moving moments. Beautiful film work showing the scenery. Touching! Lovely accompanying music by local artist.

The only downside to this movie is that it was too short. I could have watched for much longer and would have loved to hear more background on the 'stars' of the production. The love they have for their home and what they do shines through in every moment of the film. I would be happy to see a follow up and more like this from the director who managed to capture the heart of the town in such a short space of time!

Well done to everyone involved!

Walvis Tale is a very heartfelt documentary that really makes you think about what fishing means to people. Besides being a life-line/resource for so many people, it tugs at your heart when you hear the love people have for the ocean and fishing. It feeds their souls aswell as their stomachs.

Also the very sobering realization that it can be ripped from them/all of us if it's not better looked after.

I really enjoyed it, I got emotional watching this film because it was so raw and real and it told a story that I was familiar with having grown up in Walvis bay myself. It was a great initiative thank you so much for showcasing our beloved community and town. I hope there will be future screenings for this film everyone has to see this wonderful piece of work. The only downside of the film was that it was too short I would've loved it if it was a little longer. Oh and the girls! They really captured my heart with their honesty, they were truly amazing, I can't wait for young girls and boys to see them and be inspired by their hard work and dedication to strive for better lives.
