Which means you'll get to hear my "no pun intended" as always ... again! I am a bit torn! The movie has some weirdness to it and has some fine ideas ... I do like the characters overall ... but it just doesn't work the way it thinks it may ... as in trying to hard ... and then sort of failing.
I do like the "sister", who is also doing the voice over ... but the voice over most of the times feels weird and not in a good way ... feels like it takes you out of the movie. The movie starts off strong too - but ends on quite the bitter and irritating note ... I mean at first I didn't even know what or why that ... happened! Then after I thought a bit about it, I did understand how it could make sense in the overall context ... yet I still don't think it a smart move ... in many ways! I guess you can say that they wanted to leave an option for a sequel ... not sure that is something we will get.
There is some Greek flavor in the movie, which makes me happy (especially because it is actresses who actually speak the language), but it doesn't really add that much either ... apart from me being happy and recognizing stuff from time to time ... still this is decent and good to a degree ... but not even close to the Eberhofer crime movies ...
