Arthur G. Night's film, Unholy Song is a mesmerizing story that will descend you into darkness and is a story you won't forget. It blends psychological horror with unsettling beauty and grabs you from the very opening frame. It's eerie atmosphere, intricate storytelling, and haunting cinematography kept me glued until the very end.
The narrative unfolds in fever dream and will immerse you into a world where reality and delusion intertwine. Night's direction easily mastered a story filled with tension and shocking moments filled with an ever-present sense of unease. The cast delivered a raw and compelling performance, that drew me deeply into the film's unsettling mystery.
What truly sets Unholy Song apart is its ability to linger long after you've finished watching.
For those who love psychological horror with artistry, depth, and a chillingly poetic touch, Unholy Song is a must-watch.

I'm a horror fan but not always into witch movies, but something about the trailer stood out to me. Unholy Song is a creative story where the writing does a solid job of creating suspense, scary moments, and throwing in some funny parts, too. The movie's atmosphere is eerie with some interesting characters. The lead and supporting cast I think gave it their all and were very memorable, some smaller characters at the end were not as memorable, however. Only 1 scene towards the beginning felt slow but then picks up quickly and flows very well into the plot twists and gore. The witch is crazy scary and the ending left me thinking about a lot of possibilities.
Horror fans will love the attitude and mood that director Arthur G. Night skillfully delivers in this inspired exorcism story. An unconventional priest is called to restore order when some tenants of a Northern California home unleash the spirits of 2,000 demons - who had been trapped inside of a creepy and haunting "Unholy Song." Like Blair Witch... Candy Man... and Terrifier... UNHOLY SONG suffers from the lack of major-studio polish on lighting and effects. But for originality, characters and execution... it's a 1st rate winner! The film's website is already touting an upcoming UNHOLY SONG 2 - so I think we're witnessing the launch of a powerful new horror franchise!
I got to say when i went to see it i was not expecting this great of a film. I love this film it is very unique and different for a low budget horror film it is well done. At the start it is slow but that is because they were building the story up then from there it was very creepy especially the Song. It gives a Alfred Hitchcock kind of feel. Love the cast especially the Witch and the tenant who is played by Jessica. If you do get a chance see this film i highly recommend it. I can't wait to see Unholy Song 2. I certainly want to know about the Witches lore. I truly recommend this film it just might be a start of a new awesome horror franchise.
Interesting premise for a film, relating it to the Bible story of Jesus casting the demons into pigs. Unfortunately that premise had almost nothing to do with the film. The plot of quite forced and convoluted, performances were stiff and unrealistic, dialogue painful to sit through at times. The pacing of the film is all over the place with poorly inserted flashbacks. The characters' motivations and backstories poorly executed at best. The film seems to take itself too seriously, the only thing that could save it besides a total over haul of the script would be if the direction was intentionally campy. If you find cringey performances entertaining or humorous, I would recommend this film to you. Otherwise, steer clear.
