More please!

I'm about to 'iPlay' the third and final episode which I missed this week. I'm gutted that it's over. The characters are so well drawn and recognisable and they are beautifully played, with brilliant comic timing. Good to see new faces along with familiar faces like Doon McKichan and Paul Reynolds. Marianne is a wonderful creation - why hasn't this been done before? There are so many funny lines and bits of business: Sue's dance to Enya ... Trev giving her flowers that he found attached to a lamppost, in memoriam. Quick Cuts is a totally original approach to the work-based sitcom. Please commission more episodes and don't hide them away. This is a comedy to be proud of.

At last a decent sitcom on the BBC!

Fast paced and edgy without being crude this programme really makes me laugh out loud. Doon Mackichan as hairdressing salon owner and Paul Reynolds as Trevor her errant boyfriend terrific and I love the enigma that surrounds Jane Dowden's character. Most sitcoms labour on but the punchy lines come thick and fast and there's not only slapstick - love Doon's character shaving Trevor's head - but better still the writer has made you really care and feel for the characters. The rest of the cast were good too I particularly like Lucinda Dryzek, she seems to have brilliant comedy timing and I really liked the way O T Fagbenle switches between street talk and normal Estuary depending on who he is talking to. Why is it hidden on BBC4?

Mad people in hairdressers

I agree with the first review. Why was this brilliant comedy hidden away on BBC4? It doesn't make sense. I came across it by accident, and it's hilarious! Best thing I've seen for ages - really great characters and fantastic writing. I can't believe there's only three episodes. What's the point of that? BBC are bonkers. Would I want my hair cut by any of these people? No thanks. But I'd love to spend more time with them - like a full series maybe! They are all so different and not in a clichéd way like in most so called comedies. Okay it's in your face in like Sue and the mad dancing in the first episode, which was hilarious, but it's subtle too. Loved Annie's blind date with the guy who'd been in a coma for four years. Everyone should watch it, and I hope it's repeated on BBC One where it belongs.
