The isekai boom of recent years has spawned many series of varying quality. Unfortunately, when a subgenre enjoys such success, it also increasingly leads to the same themes being retread with slight variations. The result is cookie-cutter creations without any real life of their own.
"Sweet Reincarnation" is exactly such a series. The story is superficial to the point of being boring, a little of this, a little of that; nothing is explored in depth, nothing examined in detail. The entire plot has conflicts, but no real conflict. If an attempt is made to construct a conflict, it is doomed to failure from the start because everything is constructed on the drawing board. There's no life in it. No development. Everything is just black or white. Good or evil. The characters aren't drawn any better; they're run-of-the-mill characters from a construction kit. Shining heroic men, subservient fine ladies who sit at home and tremble when the strong men go into battle. And then there's the main character, once again an overly powerful child genius who manages everything almost single-handedly. And no, his penchant for sweets is no longer cute when this nonsense comes to mind more quickly than people's lives.
The visual criticism can't be particularly good either. The same characters as in all other cookie-cutter productions. The female characters, who - at least fitting the plot - (almost) all look as if they weren't dressed up in clothes, but wrapped in glittery candy wrappers, are particularly bad. The animation is incredibly wooden. A truly cheap production with few interludes and many freeze frames and camera pans over, albeit rarely well-developed, backgrounds.
Up to a certain point, you might find it entertaining, but in the end, it's just another cheap production among many. And among the many, there are many significantly better ones. So, in the end, your time is wasted.
