I was kind of excited to watch this series as I enjoy skating, but the coach if that is what you want to call her is absolutely the most horrible person I have ever had the misfortune of watching. She thinks she is so great at coaching but is not. And the way she talks to the parents is terrible. My daughter has been involved in several sports and if I were ever to be treated the way she treats those parents. I would not take it. She makes up things that never happened. I believe the parents should get together and pull all the girls off the team and find a coach that can handle answering questions without thinking they are being disrespected. That coach is such a child, I think the girls are so much more mature then she is.
I was super excited to watch this series as I like reality shows about dancing and skating. I've watched many diverse shows and this is not one. First off the Coach is not a leader of any sort and is super confrontational and is in capable of answering questions. She is judge mental of people off the ice. Secondly and more importantly she constantly says this is the first all diverse team but it's not diverse at all. It's all female, it's all black, where is diversity? Like seriously look up the definition of diversity, it means variety!!!
I am so glad that my kids never had to deal with this kind of gaslighting trashy Coach!

Growing up figure skating, and being a person of color I was excited to see this show. To say I'm disappointed is a gross understatement. The "coach" is fickle, hypocritical, arrogant and downright abusive. The young ladies on the team would do so much better being coached by someone who models hard work and has an "I know you can do it" spirit and doesn't humiliate the young ladies. Having a real coach, one who can professionally communicate with the members of the skating team and their parents as well, would make a world of difference. The coach would do well to take a course in the effective leadership.

Success donor come easy!!! She and the skaters made HISTORY!!! Yay Coach Rory!! She taught them to be touch and not to run from a challenge. Instead, believe and CONQUER!!! Looking forward to next year's team. Parents need to be less sensitive with their attitudes and opinions unless they can do the job.. children need to be raised to be resilient and not to give up giving in when things are times get hard and generations before us time for extremely hard and here we are when and when life is as easy as it's ever been in history. Enjoyed her coaching techniques and joy, and how she inspired the skaters and believed in the skaters she knew that they have the ability to do great things in such a short time.
