Double Ismart

This movie falls short in several areas, starting with its plot and characters, which come across as silly and poorly developed. There's no proper connection to the prequel, making it feel disjointed for fans who were expecting continuity. The narration is loud and grating, which only adds to the overall unpleasant experience. Much of the film is uninteresting and boring, with the few moments that try to stand out instead coming off as cringe-worthy.

Ram, as expected, gives his best performance. He does what he can with the material he's given, but even his efforts can't lift the movie out of mediocrity. Sanjay Dutt is unfortunately underutilized and doesn't get the opportunity to showcase his abilities. Kavya Thapar brings some visual appeal to the film, but her role lacks depth. Ali's comedy, which might have been a saving grace, ends up being more irritating than entertaining.

The music fails to leave a lasting impression, and the direction feels outdated, lacking the freshness or creativity needed to engage a modern audience. Given all these factors, this movie is not one I would recommend. It's better to skip this one and look for something more worthwhile.

Horrible movie from puri, movie is really bad and ali's character is so degraded . Pure 2 hours of torture. Over all very bad experience watching this movie. Absolutely not recommended to watch with family. No proper screen play and there is no logic and meaning in the story. Extreme vulgar vocabulary used in the movie which is not at all comfortable. Waste of time. Movies are for relaxation and this movie do not serve the purpose at at metre. Sanjay dutt is an excellent actor from bollywood but I feel he is not utilized as per his caliber. There is complete absence of audio management throughout the film.

I have always admired Puri's movies. This movie though changes all that. The guy was known for his originality and his unique creative story telling. This movie has very average screenplay, story and character. The excessive use of F words by almost all the characters is pretty shocking. It looks like the censor board slept through the movie and didn't catch all the cuss words. The final fight around the statue of lord Shiva was totally not required. It looks and feels like an insult to the statue of god. Ram's acting is good. He pulls of a very good accent required by the protagonist. As others have amply pointed out, the movie just doesn't click. Hope Puri comes back with a better movie next time and not this Halwa.

Unsure if Puri himself reads this review. I have always admired Puri for his dialogues and story telling. However, this movie was a hard watch. Glad that I skimmed it through on Amazon prime. Second half is painful. I don't know why they introduced Pragathi as old pochamma. The character lacks depth. There is no detail in character sketching and the plot is wafer thin. Ali's comedy is funny but he uses derogatory language often. Ram is too loud and he often uses filthy language as well. Sanjay dutt is wasted. Unsure why he is casted in the first place. I would request Puri to focus on the characterisation and the plot. Unwanted action sequences and unreal events are no longer appreciated by the audience.

Expecting a nice little thriller judging by the summary of the movie. What I got was terrible acting which was cringeworthy at times, a ridiculous plot, loud and obnoxious music and on top of that the absolutely irritating character Boka.

Always hard to understand how some movies get greenlit anyways.

Fightscenes are so OTT (not every punch or kick makes the badguy swirl in mid-air) and the bad guys laughable.

I've seen some bad movies in my time but this is just next level. Avoid at all cost and treat yourself to a nice dinner instead. Hope this and other reviews will be enough warning for you!
