I really enjoyed the overall flow and pacing of the film-the way the story unfolds and gradually develops is genuinely engaging and keeps you hooked. There's a clear sense of progression that builds suspense effectively. However, I have to say, at a certain point, things take a seriously nasty turn. The level of gore and disturbing content goes beyond unsettling-it becomes absolutely revolting, to the point of being almost unbearable to watch. It's intense in a way that feels excessive and hard to stomach. That said, if you're into horror and can handle extreme content, it's still a pretty solid horror movie overall. The atmosphere is creepy, the tension is well-crafted, and the disturbing elements do serve the story, even if they go a bit overboard.
Sijjin is the Indonesian adaptation of the famous Turkish horror film Siccîn. The movie successfully delivers a chilling atmosphere with a strong local cultural approach. Its dark cinematography and eerie ambiance enhance the tension, while the unsettling sound design intensifies the horror in every scene. The actors deliver convincing performances, effectively portraying the fear and emotions of facing supernatural terror.
However, while the atmosphere is well-crafted, the storyline at times feels a bit rushed. Some of the horror elements may seem familiar to seasoned horror fans, making certain moments predictable. Despite this, Sijjin still offers a terrifying experience worth watching, especially for fans of local horror. With solid production and a culturally rich narrative, this adaptation is a commendable effort in the genre.

"Sijjin" unfortunately did not resonate with me. As a Muslim, I found several aspects of the film deeply problematic.
Firstly, the poster itself felt off-putting, with imagery that leaned heavily into dark and ominous vibes. It didn't entice me to delve deeper, instead raising concerns about the film's potential disrespect for my faith.
Secondly, the inclusion of black magic as a central theme was a major turn-off. Black magic is strictly forbidden in Islam, and its portrayal in the film felt exploitative and sensationalized. This not only felt disrespectful but also inaccurate, failing to represent the true essence of Islamic beliefs and practices.
While I cannot speak for everyone, I believe "Sijjin" missed the mark in its handling of sensitive religious themes. It would have benefited greatly from a more nuanced and respectful approach to Islam, both visually and narratively.

I recently watched the movie "Sijjin," and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations in terms of scariness. Despite being categorized as a horror film, the movie lacked the thrills and scares that I anticipated. One of the few positive aspects of the movie was the inclusion of a couple of memorable scenes. Firstly, there was a scene involving a realistic portrayal of black magic, which was executed effectively. Additionally, there was a basement scene featuring a group of white ladies wearing telekom outfits, a unique and previously unseen concept. These scenes were commendable and managed to stand out amidst the overall disappointment of the film. However, the weak and predictable storyline was a major drawback. The lack of originality and depth in the plot made it easy to foresee what would unfold next, resulting in diminished suspense and excitement. Furthermore, the performances by some of the actors fell short, failing to elevate the movie to a higher level. All in all, "Sijjin" failed to deliver on its promise of being a truly scary experience. The movie lacked a compelling story, had predictable twists, and featured mediocre acting. If you are looking for a genuinely terrifying horror film, this one is unlikely to meet your expectations. I challenge any director who can come out the really scary movie with originally based on true story or with strong powerful script and the best with unknown actor and actress that can revealed about the alarm ghaib, black magic and paranormal activity.
First of all the movie was very good
It is also a source of pride that it is based on a Turkish horror series called Siccin. Turkish horror movies are usually shot on djinn anyway For him, the movie is scary because it is close to the Turkish movie. A movie full of sensible and beautiful actorsEverything is perfect, changing some scenes makes sense. There was a lot of sadness and drama too Be sure to watch the movie it's really good from start to finish.
I liked it as much as the movie Siccin It's not a waste of time. A breathtaking film from start to finish.
I wonder if there will be a sequel.
