I like the show but it is ridiculous that the host just reads the final round way too slow. Hardly anyone ever wins. Possibly change the amount of questions. He only has 60 seconds and it takes him 45 seconds to read the clues which leaves the contestant with hardly any time to answer. He needs to speed it up and just say yes if they get the right answer. Way too slow. I like John Michael Higgins on America Days, but he galls short on Split Second. Maybe someone who can actually see the questions on his tablet or make the font much bigger. He seems to struggle with reading the questions. Otherwise, it's a pretty good show.
I agree with the majority here: the bonus round is just too many questions for 60 seconds - especially when the host wastes too much time correcting the wrong answers before moving on to the next question. I get that they don't want every single contestant to win, and it needs to present a certain degree of challenge, but the excitement at the end is subdued when you know they are very unlikely to win. Fewer questions or more time, please!
I find John Michael Higgins likeable enough, but I cannot bear the awful jokes and his stilted delivery. It sounds like they are being fed to him through his earpiece. And then he awkwardly laughs at them himself - because he suspects no one else will?
I watch in spite of this simply for the trivia - often phrased cleverly - and because I enjoy guessing at the answers myself.

Please.
Michael , stop telling your very bad jokes. You are not funny. I like the show , but I seriously can't watch it much longer if you don't stop with your horrible jokes. If You used to be a comedian, I now understand Why you are a game show host.
The only other part that's annoying is the last and final round. I think the host is a little too slow, And having the audience start clapping in the middle of the round Seems to be intentional to distract the contestant. Maybe i'm spoiled by the quickness of the mastermind host.
It just seems like that last sixty second round is done very sloppy.

Have to agree with others about the Bonus Round. I've watched people win, but with very little time to spare. John Michael Higgins reads too slow, and same when it's answered wrong. Instead of "wrong, it's... ______." That part needs work. It's also a good thing to be smart and correctly answer the questions, and the bonus round can be won in 60 seconds.
Fun game show, and so is JMH, who's a veteran host of shows and movies.
It's like any trivia game, but to answer the easy ones you better hit that signaling device within a Split Second! And it seems like all the game shows top money prize is capped at $10k....this and a few others are brand new on GSN, and it's nice that the new seasons have started after all the writer's/actor's strikes....

During the Money Round, host talks waaaay toooo slow. He needs to rapid fire questions like the hostess of Master Minds. It almost seems intentional that his pauses are long and he drags out the answer, especially if the contestant is getting answers correct. I haven't watched every episode, but I've never seen anyone win the $10,000. The host is fun and such a gentleman, but he has to be able or willing to read the questions faster. If the hand held is slow in bringing up the answers or questions, that needs to be switched out. Most of the contestants are smart enough to answer the questions - they just need a legitimate chance.
