A stretched out version of Crime Patrol. Overall a good series, with the acting and direction of a higher calibre, reminiscing of first few seasons of CP. Some of the cases though are inspired from old Crime Patrol episodes, so at times it takes away the suspence aspect of the episode. Most of the cast members are also borrowed from Crime Patrol. For those of us who have lived through the CP era and consider ourselves armchair detectives, we are able to deduce who the culprit is in 50% of the cases. But still a watchable series. To make it more engrossing, bigger cases needs to be included to expand the scope.
Crimes aaj kal season 1 and season 2 very good series. Good direction and best storyline. Only optimistix production can make good crime shows. Crime patrol by optimistix was excellent till year 2019 than any other show and movies. Quality of crime patrol was going down after 2019 because optimistix production stopped to make crime patrol. After watching crimes aaj kal, same feeling of crime patrol. Each episode is complete, based on true crime incidents. The story is depicted in a realistic way. The acting is pretty good and believable. The direction of every episode is great. The casting is also good.
"I see no hope for the future of our people...the frivolous youth of today...reckless beyond words....the present youth are exceedingly wise and impatient of restraint. " Hesiod
What an irony that a 700 BC quote should be relatable even today!
The urgency, impatience and demand for instant gratification, fast paced lives of youngsters in this super tech age forms the base for this slick and tightly scripted series, depicting slice of modern life challenges. Characters are credible and well-etched.
Good acting, anchoring , dialogues and evenly paced narratives!
Look forward to more episodes.

This series has brought back memories of the classic Crime patrol. The quality of acting is visible and dialogues even more impressive. I hope it doesn't end the way Crime Patrol did. The makers need to build on the goodwill they have earned with this series. The cases covered were more individual in nature, they need to expand it to social and national level crimes to increase the scope and to get a wider audience base. The good thing is that most of crime patrol veterans are seen in this series so we don't need to waste time getting familiar with most of the actors. I would go out on a limb and say this series in some episodes are better than Crime Patrol. It has a more sophisticated look to it. I eagerly await the second season.

While Crimes Aaj Kal manages to capture the essence of its predecessor, there is one aspect that leaves viewers longing for more - the acting of the newcomers. Although the new cast members put in commendable performances, one can't help but wonder what could have been achieved if seasoned actors had taken the stage. The show features a mix of fresh faces and a few familiar ones, and the latter, as expected, deliver stellar performances.
One glaring difference between Crime Patrol and Crimes Aaj Kal is the storytelling approach. The stories in Crimes Aaj Kal often feel manipulated and dramatized. It's apparent that this creative choice might be an attempt to avoid potential legal complications. However, it does affect the show's authenticity, leaving some viewers yearning for the unfiltered narratives that Crime Patrol was known for.
Vikrant Massey's anchoring is undoubtedly one of the show's strengths. His ability to engage viewers and provide insightful commentary on the cases adds depth to each episode. Massey's presence as the host is a reassuring connection to the legacy of Crime Patrol.
